πŸ’₯ Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not to your own understanding.

We have a promise from God telling us that HE will help us in all things and HE will show us what to do as we live on this earth.

We learn to wait on HIS Word in the issue.

And when God brings to our mind a Word, we go in that Word, when we recognize that Word is from God.

We recognize the Word from God by the following:

James 3:17  But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.

Matthew 11:30  (Jesus says)  For MY yoke is easy, and MY burden is light.

If something is very difficult to do, complex, or would put a burden on us and our household, then we can know that plan is not from God for us.

Stop.  Pray again.  And wait for God to show us what to do.

Proverbs 3

5 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

(Every time we pray we put our trust in God and connect with God.)

6 In all thy ways acknowledge HIM, and HE shall direct thy paths.

7 Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil.

When we are troubled by a person or a plan, we can know something is wrong with the way we are about to go.

Pray, asking God to stop us if need be.

God might change our heart to accept that person or plan.  But if we continue to dread doing the plan, we really need to stop and pray and rethink the plan.   If we try to continue when we really don't want to do that thing, we will likely find out we made a big mistake.  God was trying to warn us.

Sometimes there will be a person we just don't feel comfortable with.  We can pray and ask God for wisdom.  But after we pray, if we still feel uncomfortable with that person we need to stop.

Pam Padgett was assigned to computer programming teams when she worked at Fed Ex.  There was a worker assigned to her team and she had to go to the manager and ask to be reassigned because she just found she was unable to work with this man.

Recently I allowed myself to be persuaded to "upgrade" one of my cables between my TV and sound processor.  I felt uncomfortable with the plan and "dreaded" the appointment.  But I went through the STOP signs.  After the worker finished the job and left, the TV picture was terrible.

I still had the old cables and could hook them up again and when I did this, the picture was very good again.

If it isn't broken, don't fix it!

I allowed myself to be influence by a man who was a specialist and said it needed to be updated for the future.  But it wasn't defective.  I should have waited until "future" to upgrade.

So when we feel dread, something is wrong with our plan, or it is the wrong person we are trying to work with.

After prayer, if we still dread that which is planned, we can justly assume God is leading us and showing us this will not work out well for us.  Something is wrong.  The Spirit of Truth in us will guide us into all truth.  So stop if you continue to dread the appointment or if you feel troubled by the person with whom you are trying to work.

Resist the temptation to think something is just wrong with you.  Pray.  Commit yourself to God.  Ask HIM to correct you if needed.  But then if you still dread that which you have planned, stop the project.

The Holy Spirit teaches us all things and guides us into all truth.  (Jn. 14:26 & Jn. 16:13)

So trust God to change our heart if we are supposed to do that plan or work with that person.  And if we continue to feel this, stop, trusting that something is wrong even if we don't know exactly what is wrong.

Lean not to your own understanding ... Just know that you have turned to God and you still feel something is wrong.
