πŸ’₯ The gates of hell will not prevail against that Word that comes down from above.

Matthew 16

13 When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, HE asked HIS disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of man am?

14 And they said, Some say that thou art John the Baptist: some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets.

15 HE saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am?

16 And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.

17 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but MY Father which is in heaven.

18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I (the Word) will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

The Word is the rock that overcomes all on this present earth.

The Word the church hears from God stands against all troubles that come on this earth and by "that Word"  we know what to do in the situations of this present life.

Story of Pam Padgett:  Pam was diagnosed with an high grade bladder cancer in September 2022.  The cancer specialist in Denver told Pam that without treatment she would die within two years, and prescribed 4 treatments of chemotherapy followed by surgical removal of her bladder.

Pam did not object to the chemo, but to remove an organ given us by God and require her to deal without her bladder for the remainder of her life was very troubling.

So Pam began praying, asking God if there was another way to deal with this problem.

After prayer, Pam saw a statement published by the American Society of Clinical Oncologists.  They said:  Chemotherapy with radiation may give the same benefits as surgical removal of the bladder.

Pam felt this was an answer from God to her concerning her prayer to be spared the surgical removal of her bladder!

But how could she get the medical people to change to this chemo/radiation treatment and cancel plans for the surgery?

God gave Pam a dream:  She was meeting with a doctor in doctor's office.  A "man" was sitting beside Pam during the session and was there to help Pam with the doctor.

Pam felt God was showing her that HE would provide help and support for her as she met with the doctor.

Each of the medical people involved with Pam's case said she was not "an ideal candidate for the chemo/radiation treatments."  But each agreed they would set this up and do this treatment if Pam wanted them to do this!

Pam had already had 3 of the chemo treatments planned before surgery.   They switched the chemo to fit the radiation.

The chemo doctor told Pam the chemo treatment with radiation was much harder on the human body than the chemo given when surgery was planned.  This doctor told Pam she might have to be hospitalized or even need blood transfusions.

Amazingly Pam found the new form of chemo to be easier than the previous 3 treatments.

The chemo/radiation treatments were administered between December, 2022 and mid-January, 2023.

Following the chemo/radiation treatments, 2 examinations were scheduled for April 2023 to establish the status of the cancer after the treatments.

Then the devil began sending thoughts to Pam's mind:  Thoughts such as:  "What if cancer is found?"

Pam turned to God with these thoughts and God showed her to just hold fast to that which HE had instructed!  Pam focused on the dreams she had been given and the Words from God which had led her to choose chemo/radiation.

And God gave Pam another dream:  There were 2 bags filled with waste and doctors were looking for disease in these bags but they found no disease in either of the two examinations.

Pam believed God was showing her the findings of the 2 exams scheduled in April, 2023, after the cancer treatments.

The gates of hell will not stand against that Word which God has given us concerning the specific problem with which we are dealing on this earth.

Pam describes the 2 examinations of April 2023:

Exam # 1:  This exam was at a urologist's office where a scope was used to look inside my bladder.

The urologist started out by saying that his understanding is that I had gone to see the specialist/surgeon in Denver and it sounded like I wasn't "keen" on having my bladder removed. I laughed and told him that was correct.

He went on to explain that with the scope he would be checking to see if the chemo had done what was needed, but that if he found a problem it could probably be taken care of with a more minor surgery than was needed last September. (I felt he was trying to prepare me for him finding a problem.)

But as he looked in my bladder, he said "This looks great!"  He said this at least 3 times as he checked various things in the bladder. He did find a small red area, but said nothing needs to be done about that at this time. He'll just monitor it.

Overall, he seemed surprised as he said "This looks great!"

Exam # 2: A CT scan was done to see if there were any signs of cancer in my body.  A few days after the CT scan was done, I met with the radiation oncologist and also with the chemo doctor.  They both said that the CT scan revealed no cancer.

The cancer was gone!

(The rock is that Word sent to us from heaven.  The gates of hell will not prevail against that Word given to us by God by HIS Holy Spirit.)

Focus on what God has told you.  Keep that Word before you day and night.  Turn not to the right or to the left during the battle.
