2 Timothy 3
15 And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus (the Word) .
16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.
God often speaks to man by the Holy Spirit of God, leading man in the way to go by reminding him of a portion of scripture.
Ephesians 4:26 Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath:

One day, all of a sudden, fearful thoughts came to my mind: "What
will you do if you get to where you can't walk? You won't be able to
live here if you can't walk. What then? Where will you go? What will
happen to you?"
I cried out: "Oh ... God help me!"
And immediately I was reminded of this scripture: "But my God shall supply all your need." (Philippians 4:19)
"That's right!" I cried out. "God will supply all my need!"

Concerning the Old Testament:
I Corinthians 10:11 Now
all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written
for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.
Also many promises of God from Old Testament are valid for us today in the church:
Isaiah 54:17
No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue
that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of ME, saith the LORD.
Psalm 23:1-3 The
LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. 2 HE maketh me to lie down in
green pastures: HE leadeth me beside the still waters. 3 HE restoreth my
soul: HE leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for HIS name's sake.
Isaiah 26:3-4 THOU wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on THEE: because he trusteth in THEE. 4 Trust ye in the LORD (the Word) for ever: for in the LORD JEHOVAH is everlasting strength:
Psalm 1:1-3 Blessed
is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth
in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. 2 But
his delight is in the law of the LORD (the Word); and in HIS law doth HE meditate day and night. 3
And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that
bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

In today's church, the
Holy Spirit of God lives in each believer to guide them into all truth,
to teach them all things, to remind them of all Jesus has said, and to
show them things to come.
I Corinthians 3:16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?
John 14:26 (Jesus says) But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, HE shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
John 16:13 Howbeit when HE, the Spirit of truth, is come, HE will guide you into all truth: for HE shall not speak of Himself; but whatsoever HE shall hear (from God), that shall HE speak: and HE will shew you things to come.
And the Holy Spirit searches the heart of God to show us the will of God for us.
I Corinthians 2
9
But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have
entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for
them that love HIM.
10 But God hath revealed them unto us by HIS Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.
11 For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.
12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.
13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.

We
need to be able to recognize the difference between the "voice" of the
Holy Spirit and the "voice" of the devil and the thinking of our own
flesh.
I will give examples of these differences on this Podcast.
