Jesus says the Holy Spirit will teach us all things, guide us into all truth, remind us of everything HE has said, and show us things to come. (Jn. 14:26 & Jn. 16:13)
We must learn to follow the Holy Spirit of God as we go forward on this present earth.
The apostle Paul warns us:
II Timothy 3
2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,
4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
13 But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.
Deception is one of the key things that will happen in the end times.

The Holy Spirit in us is The Spirit of Truth.
When we feel uncomfortable about a person or a plan, there is likely something wrong and God is trying to warn us.
Pray. Reestablish your thinking with God. Ask God to confirm the direction if it is HIS will to do that thing over which you feel uncomfortable.
Recently I was trying to work with a man and from the beginning of the time I met him, I felt troubled when we spoke. I never had a specific reason I just felt troubled. I believe this was God warning me. And nothing that we were trying to do in the project turned out well. Each time he came to do work, I felt troubled. We often try to explain such away by thinking, "It's just me." But when that continues, especially after prayer, something is wrong and it is usually best to cancel the project.
Commit your thoughts and feelings to God and ask HIM to guide you and to give you wisdom.
James 1:5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.
Proverbs 3:16 Commit thy works unto the LORD, and thy thoughts shall be established.
