πŸ’₯ As we wait for the return of Jesus, we live in the righteousness of God through The Word of God that is delivered to us.

The Word of God comes to us through the scriptures of the Holy Bible.  And The Word of God comes to individuals in the church through the Holy Spirit of God as HE brings to our mind information from God to show us the will of God.

John 14:26  Jesus says:  But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in MY name, HE shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

John 16:13-14  Howbeit when HE, the Spirit of truth, is come, HE will guide you into all truth: for HE shall not speak of HIMSELF; but whatsoever HE shall hear (from God), that shall HE speak: and HE will shew you things to come.

14 HE shall glorify ME: for HE shall receive of MINE, and shall shew it unto you.

I Corinthians 2

9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. (Old Testament)

10 But (New Testament) God hath revealed them unto us by HIS Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.

11 For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.

12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.

13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.

14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

Hebrews 1:1-2  God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,  Hath in these last days spoken unto us by HIS Son, whom HE hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also HE made the worlds;

God shows the prophet Ezekiel the New Testament Church:

Ezekiel 36:

23 And I will sanctify MY great name, which was profaned among the heathen, which ye have profaned in the midst of them; and the heathen shall know that I am the LORD, saith the Lord GOD, when I shall be sanctified in you before their eyes.

24 For I will take you from among the heathen, and gather you out of all countries, and will bring you into your own land.

25 Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you.

26 A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.

27 And I will put MY spirit within you, and cause you to walk in MY statutes, and ye shall keep MY judgments, and do them.

When God speaks to us, HE causes us to be born again.

Jesus says:

John 3

3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

4 Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born?

5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.

8 The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.

After God speaks directly to us, HE gives us a new heart and a new spirit that we can be able to hear HIS will and follow HIM by HIS Holy Spirit.

Romans 8:1; 14

There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

14  For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

Sometimes God will send a dream to us to show us what to do or to give us information.  We see examples of God using dreams in the New Testament to lead HIS people.

Matthew 2

12 And being warned of God in a dream that they should not return to Herod, they (the wise men) departed into their own country another way.

13 And when they were departed, behold, the angel of the Lord appeareth to Joseph in a dream, saying, Arise, and take the young child and his mother, and flee into Egypt, and be thou there until I bring thee word: for Herod will seek the young child to destroy him.

14 When he arose, he took the young child and his mother by night, and departed into Egypt:

Also we have examples of God sending an angel to help HIS people and to give them information and strength.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

God sends an angel to Peter in the NT church to help Peter:

Acts 12

1 Now about that time Herod the king stretched forth his hands to vex certain of the church.

2 And he killed James the brother of John with the sword.

3 And because he saw it pleased the Jews, he proceeded further to take Peter also. (Then were the days of unleavened bread.)

4 And when he had apprehended him, he put him in prison, and delivered him to four quaternions of soldiers to keep him; intending after Easter to bring him forth to the people.

5 Peter therefore was kept in prison: but prayer was made without ceasing of the church unto God for him.

6 And when Herod would have brought him forth, the same night Peter was sleeping between two soldiers, bound with two chains: and the keepers before the door kept the prison.

7 And, behold, the angel of the Lord came upon him, and a light shined in the prison: and he smote Peter on the side, and raised him up, saying, Arise up quickly. And his chains fell off from his hands.

8 And the angel said unto him, Gird thyself, and bind on thy sandals. And so he did. And he saith unto him, Cast thy garment about thee, and follow me.

9 And he went out, and followed him; and wist not that it was true which was done by the angel; but thought he saw a vision.

10 When they were past the first and the second ward, they came unto the iron gate that leadeth unto the city; which opened to them of his own accord: and they went out, and passed on through one street; and forthwith the angel departed from him.

11 And when Peter was come to himself, he said, Now I know of a surety, that the Lord hath sent HIS angel, and hath delivered me out of the hand of Herod, and from all the expectation of the people of the Jews.

God also sends an angel of God in a vision to Paul to show Paul there would be no loss of life on the ship on which he was riding as a prisoner:

Acts 27

21 But after long abstinence Paul stood forth in the midst of them, and said, Sirs, ye should have hearkened unto me, and not have loosed from Crete, and to have gained this harm and loss.

22 And now I exhort you to be of good cheer: for there shall be no loss of any man's life among you, but of the ship.

23 For there stood by me this night the angel of God, whose I am, and whom I serve,

24 Saying, Fear not, Paul; thou must be brought before Caesar: and, lo, God hath given thee all them that sail with thee.

25 Wherefore, sirs, be of good cheer: for I believe God, that it shall be even as it was told me.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

God sent a vision to both Peter and Cornelius to show them what to do:

Acts 10

1 There was a certain man in Caesarea called Cornelius, a centurion of the band called the Italian band,

2 A devout man, and one that feared God with all his house, which gave much alms to the people, and prayed to God alway.

3 He saw in a vision evidently about the ninth hour of the day an angel of God coming in to him, and saying unto him, Cornelius.

4 And when he looked on him, he was afraid, and said, What is it, Lord? And he said unto him, Thy prayers and thine alms are come up for a memorial before God.

5 And now send men to Joppa, and call for one Simon, whose surname is Peter:

6 He lodgeth with one Simon a tanner, whose house is by the sea side: he shall tell thee what thou oughtest to do.

7 And when the angel which spake unto Cornelius was departed, he called two of his household servants, and a devout soldier of them that waited on him continually;

8 And when he had declared all these things unto them, he sent them to Joppa.

9 On the morrow, as they went on their journey, and drew nigh unto the city, Peter went up upon the housetop to pray about the sixth hour:

10 And he became very hungry, and would have eaten: but while they made ready, he fell into a trance,

11 And saw heaven opened, and a certain vessel descending unto him, as it had been a great sheet knit at the four corners, and let down to the earth:

12 Wherein were all manner of fourfooted beasts of the earth, and wild beasts, and creeping things, and fowls of the air.

13 And there came a voice to him, Rise, Peter; kill, and eat.

14 But Peter said, Not so, Lord; for I have never eaten any thing that is common or unclean.

15 And the voice spake unto him again the second time, What God hath cleansed, that call not thou common.

16 This was done thrice: and the vessel was received up again into heaven.

17 Now while Peter doubted in himself what this vision which he had seen should mean, behold, the men which were sent from Cornelius had made enquiry for Simon's house, and stood before the gate,

18 And called, and asked whether Simon, which was surnamed Peter, were lodged there.

19 While Peter thought on the vision, the Spirit said unto him, Behold, three men seek thee.

20 Arise therefore, and get thee down, and go with them, doubting nothing: for I have sent them.

21 Then Peter went down to the men which were sent unto him from Cornelius; and said, Behold, I am he whom ye seek: what is the cause wherefore ye are come?

22 And they said, Cornelius the centurion, a just man, and one that feareth God, and of good report among all the nation of the Jews, was warned from God by an holy angel to send for thee into his house, and to hear words of thee.

23 Then called he them in, and lodged them. And on the morrow Peter went away with them, and certain brethren from Joppa accompanied him.

(When I see an example of God using an angel or dream or vision in the New Testament Bible, I always know that God could use such to help us today in the New Testament church.)

(Comments by Joan Boney)

I attended a neighborhood prayer group when I was a new Christian in 1975.  One day we were standing in a circle praying when I heard from the Holy Spirit, "Look up."  I looked up and when I did I saw a part of a human body outlined on the wall.  I said, "I know that is a part of the human body but I don't know which part."  I heard, "Stomach."    I excited replied, "OH yes ... It's a stomach."  (I recalled the old Pepto-Bismol commercials on TV.)

When the women quit praying, I asked, "Does someone have a stomach problem?"  A little woman began jumping up and down and said, "I do!  I do!"

This is the first time God showed me a word of knowledge by a vision outlined on a wall.

After that God often showed me words of knowledge this way when I attended Bible class or prayer group, or even when I was alone at my home.

I Corinthians 12

4 Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.

5 And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord.

6 And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all.

7 But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal.

8 For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit;

9 To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit;

10 To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues:

11 But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as HE (God) will.

God has often given me a dream to show me what to do.

And once in a dream, I believe an angel of God spoke to me.  On January 10, 1980, I was asleep in the night when all of a sudden a very loud trumpet-like voice spoke 3 words in my ear:  "Hartford, Seattle, KWJS"

It seemed obvious to me that KWJS were call letters to either radio or television.  So I quickly wrote these letters on a note pad bedside my bed.

When I found this to be a radio station, I said to God, "Are YOU telling me to go on radio?  I wouldn't know how to do that."

Immediately the Holy Spirit brought these words to my mind:  "Call the station manager."

I did that and told the station manager that God might be telling me to go on radio, I asked, "How would you do that?"

He said, "Make an audition tape 29 1/2 minutes long and send it to me and if you fit our broadcasts we will offer you a contract."

As soon as I got off the phone, I recorded an audition tape and took it to the post office and mailed it to the radio station manager.

Within 5 days, I was on radio, broadcasting exhortations to the church.

Within a year, I was on radio in several cities from NYC area (Hartford) to Seattle ... as the words spoken to me in the dream:  "Hartford, Seattle, KWJS"

So I know God uses dreams, visions, angels to deliver messages to us in the New Testament church today.

And the New Testament Bible shows us the way to live while we remain on this present earth.

Keep the commandments of God set forth for the church in the New Testament Bible.  These are the Laws of God for the church today.

At the judgment seat of Christ, we will be judged by the New Testament Bible for that which we do on this earth.

The apostle Paul explains:

2 Corinthians 5

9 Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of HIM.

10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.

11 Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men;
