πŸ’₯ In the beginning was "the Word".

John 1

1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

(Before Jesus was born on this earth in the form of the flesh of a man named Jesus, HE was the Word and was with God in the form of a spirit, the Word.)

2 The same was in the beginning with God.

3 All things were made by HIM; and without HIM was not any thing made that was made.

(All things were created by the Word as God spoke, the Word created.)

4 In HIM was life; and the life was the light of men.

5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

6 There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.

7 The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through HIM might believe.

8 He (John) was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light (the Word).

9 That (the Word) was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.

10 He (the Word) was in the world, and the world was made by HIM, and the world knew HIM not.

11 HE (the Word) came unto HIS own, and HIS own received HIM not.

12 But as many as received HIM, to them gave HE power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on HIS name (the Word):

Genesis 12:1-4  Now the LORD (the Word) had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee: 2 And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing: 3 And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.

4 So Abram departed, as the LORD (the Word) had spoken unto him;

And God did everything that HE said HE would do in Abram's life.  And Abram was changed to Abraham, a father of many nations, both Jews and Gentiles.

John 1

13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld HIS glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

(The Word was born as the baby named Jesus, and appeared on this earth as a man, but he was the Word the son of God while HE walked on this earth.)

The Word appears to us today as the Word of God  through the Holy Bible and when the Holy Spirit speaks directly to our mind through thoughts ... and the Word comes through dreams and is sometimes delivered by angels of God.

When we read "The Lord" in the Bible, this is "The Word."

Psalm 23

1 The LORD (the Word) is my shepherd; I shall not want.

2 HE  (the Word) maketh me to lie down in green pastures: HE (the Word) leadeth me beside the still waters.

3 HE (the Word) restoreth my soul: HE (the Word) leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for HIS name's sake (the Word's sake).

4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for THOU (the Word) art with me; THY  rod (the Word) and THY staff (the Word) they comfort me.

5 THOU (the Word) preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: THOU (the Word) anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.

6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD (the Word) for ever.

The Word is everything to us ... The Word leads us and guides us and keeps us,

Some church goers speak of Jesus but they don't know The Word.  They follow a fleshly image but it is "the Word" that is missing from their lives.  They do not have the Word living in them.  They are members of a church group, but they are not born again by the Word.

When the Word speaks to us, we are born again.

Then we follow HIM, The Word

Every time we read the Bible and see "The Lord" we see "The Word".

(In the following writings, we will look at some of the words spoken by the Word.)
