Through God we do valiantly

Pam Padgett ... teacher

Psalm 60:12 Through God we shall do valiantly: for he it is that shall tread down our enemies.

Many times our enemies are thoughts or words that others speak which harm us or would lead us in a way that is not according to the word of God.  But, as with all of our enemies, God is able to "tread down" these thoughts or words.  The truth God gives to us by the Holy Spirit destroys the power of the thoughts or words that would destroy us, and allows us to be established in what is true and right, aligned with the word of God.

2 Corinthians 10:3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: 4 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) 5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; 6 And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.

When we have truth from God and conform our thinking to the truth, we are able to valiantly (with strength and courage) deal in the area the thought or word is associated with.  We have a sure and firm foundation, for truth and wisdom from God will not fail.
