Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet
This past week, it was like enemies striking against me from every direction ... as if a shotgun was fired directly into my body, making holes all over ...
As I reviewed it today, I was reminded of the following scripture:
Isaiah 59:19 When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord shall lift up a standard against him.
What is "a standard?"
Dictionary defines "a standard" as an authoritative statement which cannot be denied.
In the attacks of this life, the Holy Spirit reminds us of something to use which the enemy cannot deny, thereby pushing back the enemy.
Specific examples of "a standard" used in the multiple attacks of the past week:
* My Church of Christ cousin tried to prove there are no apostles today ... The "standard" brought to my attention by the Holy Spirit is multiple scriptures. (See writing on right side of archives on home page of blog: May / "To follow my cousin" ... just tap on this writing and it will appear on your computer screen)
* Lubbock Tax Accessor who tried to turn ministry property into taxable status ... National IRS tax exempt statement issued by USA IRS, federal government, in 1979, which a city government would have very hard time denying. (Mailed printed IRS statements to tax accessor)
* Realtor and problems in sale of property in Texas ... "standard"... those things brought by Holy Spirit to Pam Padgett's mind ... incorrect listing of number of bedrooms ... failure to put "for sale" signs on busy street on north side of house where people have opportunity to see the house is for sale... (When realtor corrected these issues, prospective buyers began asking to view property.)
* Handicap placard in Colorado ... acquiring a USA passport which the State of Colorado says they will accept as proof of identity required for handicap parking in this state. (They can't deny their own proof requirement when it is presented.)
These standards, of which we were shown by God, should provide authoritative proof in each situation.
Each "standard" in each battle was raised by the Holy Spirit as we were shown what to do.

To us it can seem we have "weak faith", but really it is a matter of doing each of those points shown us by God through HIS Spirit.
As we deal with each person or thing that rises up against us, that "enemy" will be unable to cast aside or explain away that authority by which we have spoken. Even when they do not want to see and do not understand, they will not be able to deny that which we presented.

When I considered the question of "did I have faith in God" ... I was reminded of the apostle Paul and how fears came upon Paul "from without".
II Corinthians 7:5-7 For, when we were come into Macedonia, our flesh had no rest, but we were troubled on every side; without were fightings, within were fears.
Nevertheless God, that comforteth those that are cast down, comforted us by the coming of Titus;
And not by his coming only, but by the consolation wherewith he was comforted in you, when he told us your earnest desire, your mourning, your fervent mind toward me; so that I rejoiced the more.

Also I was reminded of the following promise of God to the disciples chosen by Jesus.
Luke 21:14-15 Jesus says: Settle it therefore in your hearts, not to meditate before what ye shall answer: For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist.
