We occupy and reign on this present earth through doing and speaking that Word given to us by God.

As we cling to that Word, we overcome on this earth.

We continue in The Word by doing those scriptures which are brought to our attention by the Holy Spirit, not being swayed in another direction by sayings of the people of this world.

For example:

In Bible, we read:  refuse profane and old wives' fables, and exercise thyself rather unto godliness.
For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.  (I Timothy 4:7-8)

I have lived by this scripture for many years, resisting all exercise plans which man thinks to extend life on this earth.  I believe God determines the years we live.  I believe God restores our body by HIS will if we injure ourselves.  I believe in God, though I believe exercise of body can profit "a little".

Remember everything we see with our natural eye will be destroyed and our "spirit" will be removed with the pending return of Jesus.

Therefore it is our spirit that is really important.  Connecting with God through daily prayer.  Refreshing our minds and spirit by reading Bible and reading godly exhortations which turn us to God.  Living godly lives, doing that which is right in the sight of God.  Keeping our fleshly attitudes under the control of God that we do right by other people.

In 2018, I fell and broke some bones in wrist and hip and therapist often recommended physical exercises and printed out sheets showing exercises.

I just do not have faith in exercise.  (I don't tell this to the therapists usually.)  I took the papers they gave me showing exercises and put them by my bed and told God I would do them if I needed to do them, but I was never led to do them.  My body began getting better weekly with rest and time.

I did tell the scripture in I Timothy 4:8 to my last physical therapist.

… bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.

(I like to spend a minimum time on my body and a maximum time on my soul and spirit, building myself up in scripture and things of God daily.  I keep a book filled with scripture in my bathroom and read that book and think on godly concepts and scripture.  I believe it helps me to have faith in God and to stay more focused on that which is really important.  We can get over-focused on these things pertaining to this world.  That which is really important is our soul and keeping our flesh under control, and treating other people in a godly way.)

After I told my therapist what the Bible says about physical exercise, she said she had never been much of an exercise person herself and she believed the body recovered with time and rest.

I find therapist to be very valuable in teaching such things as how to use a cane or walker to go up and down steps and how to use these devices in difficult areas of house.

I have great respect for physical therapists, although I do not believe exercise is key to recovery.

I held fast to what I believe God is showing in Bible on this subject … thus occupy till I return, says Jesus.
