Being born again ... a new creation by God

In August, 1975, I was staying at a friend's house while I recovered from gallbladder surgery.

She and husband had a number of religious books and they were in the library where I slept.

I took one of the books and began reading.  It was a book about sin.

As I read, God spoke the following to me:

"Joan … you know those mistakes you've been making all these years.  Those weren't mistakes.  Those were sins."

Sins?  I was shocked and horrified to learn this.

I had been baptized at a Church of Christ group when I was about 15-years-old because I didn't want to go to hell and by that which they preached I thought this would  keep me from going to hell.  But I was not born again.

When God spoke the above word to me, I was born again … I was changed … Now I had the Spirit of God in me and was born again.

Now I wanted to read Bible and wanted to attend church.

It is very normal for a real Christian to want to read Bible and to want to attend church after he is born again and has been given God's spirit.

The first church group I attended was a small group called "Believer's Chapel".  (The doctrine was similar to Church of Christ and Baptist.)

The preachers were professors at Dallas Theological Seminary.

At the time I started going to this church group, one of the preachers was teaching a doctrine which professed tongues being of the devil.

I had never heard of tongues before this and didn't care anything about such.

During this time, I owned a business in Dallas and I began having some very severe satanic attacks in the form of depression caused by thoughts.

I was occasionally attending a prayer group in my neighborhood, so the women who worked for me would call this prayer group when I became depressed and I recovered immediately as they prayed for me.

Since I was helped so much when they prayed, I became more interested in attending their group.

At one prayer meeting, I heard an almost silent "murmuring" sound coming from them.  

They often prayed over newspaper stories and someone had brought a situation to the attention of the group and they began praying for the woman in the story.  I was very impressed that they would pray for a person they didn't even know.

Then I realized the "murmuring" sound came from them because they were praying in tongues.

I was terrified … for I was being taught at church that tongues were from the devil.

I wanted no more to do with this prayer group and I told the women who worked for me not to call them again if I had trouble.

But since I was helped when they prayed, I believe one woman who worked for me called the prayer group anyway when I was bombarded with destructive thoughts.

Then one day, I was reading Bible and saw the following scripture in Bible.

Paul instructed the church and said,    Wherefore, brethren, covet to prophesy, and forbid not to speak with tongues.  I Corinthians 14:39


The church I was attending not only forbid speaking in tongues but was teaching a doctrine saying tongues were of the devil!

I told my best friend of the scripture I had found and she was shocked.  

We went to her house and looked up this scripture in various translations of the Bible … NASB … NIV … and it said same thing in each translation.

I said to Donna, "What they are teaching at Believer's Chapel is not according to Bible.  I'm not going there anymore."

Donna said she wasn't going there anymore either.

One of the women from the prayer group attended a church called Beverly Hills Baptist.  

This woman seemed very spiritual so I began going to that church group with her and her husband.

After a few Sundays at that church group, I requested a conference with their pastor.

I don't recall why I wanted to talk to this pastor but I do know the subject I brought to him had to do with hearing from God and following God by HIS Spirit.

The pastor said to me, "You'd have to be a spiritual giant to do that."

I was very surprised to hear pastor say this for I had followed the Spirit of God this way for several weeks, since being born again, and I didn't feel it was at all unusual.  In fact, from what God taught me, I felt every Christian should hear directly from God and follow that which God told them.  I still believe this is true.

I continued going to that church group until my friend decided to leave and go to another group.

I followed her to a group called, "Word of Faith", Robert Tilton, pastor.

This was a faith movement church.

I also attended the singles class taught on Sunday mornings at that church group.

I found I liked the singles class, but really did not enjoy the main service taught by Robert Tilton, because so much of the messages had to do with the subject of "prosperity" ... but I kept going anyway and copied down scripture and studied those scriptures between church services.

I attended every service … Sunday morning, Sunday evening, Wednesday evening, and all special meetings which often occurred with guest speakers from that movement.

The church was my life.

Then in 1979, God gave me a terrifying dream.

I felt like Daniel felt when he didn't know the meaning of a dream he received and he was troubled for a time until the angel of God explained the dream to him.

In this dream, destruction was everywhere.

I went into a room filled with people.  A man was speaking to these people and I sat down and began to listen.

A second man came in and said, "Stop … wait … can't you see.  It's too late.  It's already begun."

The first man continued speaking and the group seemed unaffected by that spoken by the second man.

But I wanted to see what had already begun … so I looked out the window.

What I saw greatly shocked me.

There was a tall pole and on top of the pole was a yellow civil defense warning speaker.  Coming out of the speaker was a gas and I knew it was poison and I knew it would kill the people.  And the gas was coming directly toward our group!

I looked at the man who was sitting next to me.

He had a big smile on his face as he looked directly toward the man who was speaking to the group.

Then I realized this man was dead … He was a corpse though he looked like he was alive.

I looked at the other people in the room and they, too, were dead.

And as I sat among them, I began to feel drowsy and I knew the gas was killing me too as I sat among them.

I had no idea what this dream meant although I did know the dream was from God.

I continued to attend Word of Faith, but every time I recalled the dream I was troubled.

One Wednesday night in 1982, at a church service at Word of Faith, I looked at the man who was sitting next to me.

This man was the dead man in the poison gas dream given to me in 1979!  I looked at the other people in the church service and saw they were the other dead people  in this dream.

I got up immediately and went to the ladies room and began praying.

I said to God:  

"I think YOU are showing me to leave this church group.  So I will get into my car and leave … but if YOU want me to come back I will."

I drove away immediately … 

God didn't want me to come back.  God began teaching me errors in the preaching I had been hearing.

From 1982 through 2016, I tried to find another church group to attend.

But each time I went to a service, I found pastor to be twisting scripture, adding to scripture, eliminating scripture and making up stories which were not in Bible.

Each time I heard the distortions at church coming from pastor, I called and spoke with pastor, basically asking pastor where in the Bible I could find that which he said in the church service.

Every time this happened,  pastor became angry with me and confessed what he had taught was not in the Bible.

I was totally bewildered!

Pastor after pastor admitted same thing … what he was teaching was not in Bible.  But there was never any expression of sorrow over that he had made up of himself!  There was never any repentance from pastor.

In approximately 2016, God showed me what was going on in these churches.

This was antichrist in the churches.

(Antichrist is not one man … antichrist is a spirit in many men …)

The apostle John told us this in Bible.

I John 2:18    Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.


The apostle Paul told us these things had to happen before Jesus could return.

II Thessalonians 2:3-4    Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day (the day of the LORD) shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;

Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

And it shows us antichrist is coming through the church … through the "temple of God."

Church groups have been teaching that antichrist will come through governments of men... another deception of antichrist in the church teachings.

Church groups would fall away from scripture and set up other doctrines.

When scripture was removed, the restraint against antichrist was gone and this allowed antichrist to move into the church group with contrary doctrines as portions of Bible were removed from their doctrine.

Now I understood why pastors who admitted teaching wrongly wouldn't repent.

Now I understood why I had been unable to find a church group to attend for the past 37 years.

Now I understood the poison gas dream of 1979 … destruction was everywhere in these churches … as scripture was removed allowing other doctrine into the church gathering … it was the apostasy spoken of by Paul in II Thessalonians 2.

It helped me greatly to understand what had been happening.  Because, according to Bible, this had to happen before Jesus returned.  

All I could do is what I had been doing for decades.

I couldn't attend these groups.  

(Remember what God showed me in the poison gas dream?  As I sat among the group where speaker was sending out poison gas, I began to fall asleep, die, with the group who listened to that speaker.)

Since that time, I have warned the church through our blog and through the books written on Amazon.

The following will happen in these church groups when Jesus returns.

II Thessalonians 2:8-12    

And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of His mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of His coming: 9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, 10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. 11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:

12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

My entire life was the church … and I couldn't find one I could attend.

But I wasn't going to sit at a church where lies against Bible were being spoken.

So I did all that I could do … I left.  

For I honor the Word of God, the Holy Bible , even above my own desire, which is to attend church.

The apostle Paul told us that after his departing this perversion would come into the church group.

Paul said:  

Acts 20:25-30    And now, behold, I know that ye all, among whom I have gone preaching the kingdom of God, shall see my face no more.

Wherefore I take you to record this day, that I am pure from the blood of all men. For I have not shunned to declare unto you all the counsel of God.

Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which HE hath purchased with His own blood.

For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock.

Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them.

Antichrist in today's church groups …  doctrines opposite to Christ, opposite to scripture … opposite to Bible.

Antichrist is against Bible.

We can't sit in a church group where doctrine is not Bible for that is antichrist in that group.

We just leave that group when we know Bible and their church doctrine is not according to the doctrine in the Bible.
