At the judgment seat of Christ

Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet

II Corinthians 5:9-11    we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of HIM.

For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ;
that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.

Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men

***

We will be judged by the Word of God and how we handled the Word of God.

It is the Spirit of God who called to our attention the Word of God so we have an opportunity to apply that Word properly to our lives as we live on this present earth.

Hebrews 4:12-13

For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in HIS sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of HIM with whom we have to do.

The Spirit of God ... The Holy Spirit who lives in us, searches the heart of God and HE will bring to our memory things told us by The Word (Jesus).

As we focus on those things, God often expands our understanding.  We choose to go in that direction as a result.

Often as we read Bible, we will get "hung up" on a scripture and will find it difficult to move on from that verse.

We need to stop and focus on that verse for there is likely a special message for us from God in that verse.

***

We examine ourselves by those things we read in Bible, properly applying the Word of God to our own lives.

Some church people eat and drink the Bible unworthily, reading but failing to apply the scriptures.

Paul says the following:

I Corinthians 11:27-31    Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink this cup of the Lord, unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord.

But let a man examine himself
(by Bible as he is reading Bible), and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup.

For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord's body.

For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep (die)

For if we would judge ourselves (as we read Bible), we should not be judged.

II Timothy 3:16-17    All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.

We do not condemn ourselves by our own thinking as we read ... nor do we justify ourselves by our own thinking as we read.  We read by the Spirit of God, depending on God to show us by the Word that which we are doing, whether good or bad, making corrections if needed.
