Living in peace

Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet

If we are troubled over the things of this world, how can we be living in peace?

When we see something we admire and it is in danger of being destroyed, aren't we troubled?

The disciples greatly admired the temple at Jerusalem.  They came to Jesus pointing this great work of man out to him.

Matthew 24:1-2    And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: and HIS disciples came to HIM for to shew HIM the buildings of the temple.

And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.

Jesus, knowing truth, had a completely different perspective.

We, who know the truth, should have a different view from the people of this world who do not know the truth and live by their flesh and consider the works of man to be great.

If we can keep the following truth from God in mind, won't it change the way we view material possessions and greatness of man?

II Peter 3:10-14    But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,

Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?

Nevertheless we, according to HIS promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.

Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of HIM in peace, without spot, and blameless.

The day of the Lord comes "as a thief in the night"  wiping out all these earthly things we have and enjoy.

They will all be gone, disappearing, often in a flash.

Enjoy these things but don't set your heart on them for they will be destroyed in the end or else we will die and leave them behind.

We cannot live in peace while trying to correct and hold onto the things of this world.

(Don't we know all these things we can see with our natural eye will be destroyed?)

Commit things to God in prayer.  Learn to focus on that which really matters, keeping ourselves by the Spirit of God, without spot and blameless, doing right in the sight of God.

Dress ourselves daily in the whole armor of God:

- in truth from God by HIS Word

- in righteousness:  seeking the will of God in matters at hand

- in peace, settling issues with God

- in faith, believing and focusing on that which God says

- on salvation, thinking of the way God saved us

- on the word of God

- praying always over everything

Ephesians 6:13    Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
