Does it really matter?

Does it really matter if the man marries a divorced woman today?

Many thoughts will come to us saying, "So what?"

Does it really matter if the divorced woman remarries?

Pastors say it is OK.  

Doesn't God want you to be happy?

A great many thoughts such as this will come to our mind or be carried to us by other people.

Jesus says ...

Matthew 6:13-14    Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

The strait gate of the word of God shows God's view on the situation.  God's way is freedom from sin.

The wide gate, the opinion of today's world, shows man's opinion.

Most people, even church people, will choose man's view because it fits with what their flesh wants to do.

Jesus says ... Matthew 24:12-13    And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many (for the word of God) shall wax cold.  But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

God's view.

Divorce/remarriage:  

Matthew 5:32    But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.

I Corinthians 7:10-11    And unto the married I command, yet not I, but the Lord, Let not the wife depart from her husband:  But and if she depart, let her remain unmarried, or be reconciled to her husband: and let not the husband put away his wife.


Fornication:

I Corinthians 6:18   Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.


Homosexuals/Lesbians:  

Romans 1:25-28    Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.  For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:  And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.  And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;

Are homosexuals just born that way?  No, according to Bible, they went against nature.  God gave them up to "vile affections".

In one scripture it says the "effeminate" (homosexuals) will not inherit the kingdom of God.  I Corinthians 6:9-10


Drunkards:

The world today often calls drunkenness a disease.

God identifies drunkenness as a work of the flesh and even says those who do such will not inherit the kingdom of God.

Galatians 5:19-21    Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

I Corinthians 6:9-10    Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind,  Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.

We can choose to believe what man thinks.  Or we can choose to believe what God says in Bible.

The problem is this:

II Corinthians 5:10    For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.
