II Thessalonians 2:3-4 NSAB Let no one in any way deceive you, for it (the day of the LORD) will not come unless the apostasy comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction, who opposes and exalts himself above every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, displaying himself as being God.

In 2017, God called my attention to this truth. Then I understood why scriptures were being removed, in part, from churches and sin was entering into the congregation.
It was the end time apostasy foretold us in the Bible.
The KJV calls this, "the falling away". It would be churches falling away from scripture.
An example: Jesus said the man who marries a divorced woman commits adultery. Mt. 5:32
This was once upheld in many churches. Today it has been cast aside in most churches.
What we are seeing is the end time apostasy that had to happen before Jesus returns.

When God revealed this to me in 2017, the Holy Spirit reminded me of one word to show me what was happening. "restraint"
When I looked at the section of scripture containing that word, my eyes were opened to see what is going on today in church groups. It is antichrist moving into the church groups. The restraint that held antichrist back was scripture. With removal of certain scriptures, antichrist was free to move into the churches. Antichrist is the man of lawlessness and is a spirit working through men just as the devil is a sprit working through men. Antichrist is not one man but many.
II Thessalonians 2:5-8 NASB Do you not remember that while I was still with you, I was telling you these things? And you know what restrains him now, so that in his time he will be revealed. For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only he who now restrains will do so until he is taken out of the way. Then that lawless one will be revealed
The "restraint" which was taken out of antichrist's way was the removal of specific scripture. For as long as those scriptures were upheld in the churches, antichrist's way was blocked.
But this had to happen before Jesus' return.
KJV II Thessalonians 2:9-12 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

The delusion in the preachers and in their congregations today is from God.
Notice it is because they did not receive "the love of the truth".
The love of truth causes us to cling to scripture. For the truth is in Jesus, the Word. Once a person turns from that truth, he destroys himself.
Delusion means: a belief that is strongly maintained but is not true

Preachers and congregations turned away from the truth of scripture on such matters as divorce & remarriage, adultery, fornication, homosexuals & lesbians and began to approve all manner of sin inside the church, explaining away the truth of the scriptures on the issues.
This is the end time apostasy, the falling away of churches from scripture.
