Psalm 29 ... Prayers to God & Promises from God to the Church

1 Give unto the Lord, O ye mighty,
give unto the Lord glory and strength.

2 Give unto the Lord the glory due unto his name;
worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness.

3 The voice of the Lord is upon the waters:
the God of glory thundereth:
the Lord is upon many waters.
4 The voice of the Lord is powerful;
the voice of the Lord is full of majesty.
5 The voice of the Lord breaketh the cedars;
yea, the Lord breaketh the cedars of Lebanon.
6 He maketh them also to skip like a calf;
Lebanon and Sirion like a young unicorn.
7 The voice of the Lord divideth the flames of fire.
8 The voice of the Lord shaketh the wilderness;
the Lord shaketh the wilderness of Kadesh.
9 The voice of the Lord maketh the hinds to calve,
and discovereth the forests:and in his temple doth every one speak of his glory.
10 The Lord sitteth upon the flood;
yea, the Lord sitteth King for ever.

11 The Lord will give strength unto his people;
the Lord will bless his people with peace.

3 The voice of the Lord is upon the waters:

4 The voice of the Lord is powerful;

There is so much power with God.  In the Bible we read of the voice being like a trumpet when it pertains to angels of God.  This is certainly what I have experienced.

One time, in approximately 1980, God spoke to me in the night by what I think was an angel.  I was sleeping and was awakened by a trumpet sounding voice saying three words to me:  Hartford, Seattle, KWJS  (call letters to a radio station)

If you can imagine a trumpet blowing in your ear, that is what it was like.

Trumpets are sounds that get your attention quickly ... they awaken you.

I Thess. 4 ... 13 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep (dead), that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. 14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.
15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. 16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God:and the dead in Christ shall rise first:17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air:and so shall we ever be with the Lord. 18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.
