* Work of a prophet in the NT church ... 2 more emails to pastor who wants to build church building.

Comments by Joan Boney:

Prophets are used by God to deliver warning to the church.  Here are more emails sent to a pastor who wants to build a new church building but apparently has no concrete word from God to do this project.  He has already purchased the land with intents to build a building but no visible word from God to do this project.

Dear Pastor,

I'm happy to answer your questions that I received today.

While I am working on that, I would appreciate it if you would read the following information which shows you how God uses New Testament prophets in the church today.

I have been very strongly warned that I must deliver all warnings that I receive.  Otherwise, your blood will be on my hands.

Please consider the way God trained Ezekiel as follows.

God says to Ezekiel the prophet:

Ezekiel 3:17-21

17 Son of man, I have made thee a watchman unto the house of Israel: therefore hear the word at MY mouth, and give them warning from ME.

18 When I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; and thou givest him not warning, nor speakest to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life; the same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand.

19 Yet if thou warn the wicked, and he turn not from his wickedness, nor from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity; but thou hast delivered thy soul.

20 Again, When a righteous man doth turn from his righteousness, and commit iniquity, and I lay a stumblingblock before him, he shall die: because thou hast not given him warning, he shall die in his sin, and his righteousness which he hath done shall not be remembered; but his blood will I require at thine hand.

21 Nevertheless if thou warn the righteous man, that the righteous sin not, and he doth not sin, he shall surely live, because he is warned; also thou hast delivered thy soul.

It is a very serious thing to operate in the office of a prophet.

Sometimes we have very concrete warnings, and other times we are just concerned about a project.

In your case, I am concerned.  But it, the concern, is from God.

In the New Testament, even the apostle Paul confirmed that their blood would have been on his hands had he not given them the information that was from God.  So you need to know this is what we do, give warnings to the church.

Acts 20:17-27

17 And from Miletus he (Paul) sent to Ephesus, and called the elders of the church.

18 And when they were come to him, he (Paul) said unto them, Ye know, from the first day that I came into Asia, after what manner I have been with you at all seasons,

19 Serving the Lord with all humility of mind, and with many tears, and temptations, which befell me by the lying in wait of the Jews:

20 And how I kept back nothing that was profitable unto you, but have shewed you, and have taught you publickly, and from house to house,

26 Wherefore I take you to record this day, that I am pure from the blood of all men.

27 For I have not shunned to declare unto you all the counsel of God.

So you see, even Paul would have had their blood on his hands if he had not warned them.

Today, if we receive a word that is a warning from God, and we hold that word back and fail to warn that person, we will be guilty of the harm that comes to that man because we failed to warn him.

God taught me this shortly after I was born again and by this I have warned individuals for the past years since 1975.

It is very important to deliver the warnings.

Among the many warnings I have delivered is this warning which I gave to the son of my cousin in approximately 1997.

My cousin and her husband and 2 adult aged sons were at my house and we were having dinner.

They began talking of Alan's new "girlfriend", a divorced woman.

I said to all, “The Bible says a man who marries a divorced woman commits adultery.”

Mt. 5:32  Jesus said:   But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.

Most of these people at the dinner didn't even attend a church and didn't confess to being a Christian, but I gave them this scripture and Word anyway.

Alan's blood is not on my hands.

Alan did marry the divorced woman.  They had a child.  And then they divorced.

One of our church group was engaged.  I had very bad feelings about this marriage and I warned her.  She postponed the wedding date.  She continued engaged to this man.  He had been married previously and his wife had been unfaithful and it certainly seemed that he could remarry according to Mt. 5:32.  He said he was a Christian.

But when this woman shared a scripture with this man he wanted no more to do with her and they cancelled the plans to marry.

She was spared.

We must present the warning if we have been warned and think something is wrong!

So I would appreciate your reading this because I am preparing another email to answer your questions and will send it this morning when it is ready.

But first you need to understand how God uses prophets in the New Testament church so you will have a basis for that which I write to you.

So please take time to read this email before you receive my next email which addresses your situation.

Thank you.

Email # 2
Dear Pastor:

We seem to be at "the end of this world" ...  No one knows the day Jesus will return but we do know the seasons.

First, the apostasy must come into the churches ... for that day of the Lord will not happen until the falling away comes.  II Thess 2:3-4  I have no doubt most churches today are the apostasy for they have eliminated scriptures and set up another doctrine.  This is antichrist in the church.

Second, before Jesus comes, the gospel must be preached into all the world.  With internet, and ministers going into remote places, I believe this also has been fulfilled.

Jesus says:  And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.  Mt. 24:14

Jesus could return anytime and remove the elect of God and God shall destroy the heavens and earth with fire.

God knows the future for each of us in this approaching time.

As far as I can tell, God has not specifically told you to build a church building.

You must start with this and answer it:  Did God tell me to do this?

* Do I have a specific word from God sanctioning this project?   Dream? Vision? Word from the Holy Spirit?

I suggest you write down anything that you believe God has told you on this matter.

I'm saying:  Look for what God has told you ... not what man has said or what anyone thinks ... Only one thing is important:  What has God said to you concerning building a new building?

It is only when God tells us to do something that we have safety.

Where should our focus be?  If we are drawing close to the end, we need to focus on getting the church members ready for the return of Jesus.

All buildings will be destroyed in the end of this world.

2 Peter 3:10-12  But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,

12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?

*****

Why does God want you to build a church building when everything is going to be destroyed?

Is where you meet now sufficient ...

Even if you have purchased that land, you don't have to build until you are absolutely certain it is what God wants you to do.  I do not have any evidence that you have heard  from God to build this building.

Your focal point should be:  "God what do YOU want me to do about this proposed building?  I need clear confirmation from YOU."

Just stop everything and seek God's will.

*****

Another consideration:  You are 77.  Either way, you and I have limited time on this earth.

Do you have a son who is called to be pastor and take your place?  Even then the end of this world is upon us, maybe in our lifetime.

Are you having to go into debt to build this building?

Is there any way we could continue to meet in the place we are meeting now?

Don't worry about the land you've purchased.  It will just sit there.  No harm done,

First you have to see if God really wants you to build a building.

Don't we both believe that Jesus could come any time.  The stage is set.  The sins have greatly increased to the point God's judgment must be near.

Know the season!

There are so many things pointing to another way to go.

We don't want to be rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic!

Instead, get the church ready.  I'm sure they aren't ready now.  For to be ready for the return of Jesus the individual must be living in complete peace!  And most people in your group, as in all groups, probably have concerns about future.  This means they are not living in peace and they are not ready for the return of Jesus.

2 Peter 3:13-14   Nevertheless we, according to HIS promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.

14 Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of HIM in peace, without spot, and blameless.

Joan Boney, prophet of Jesus according to Ephesians 4:11-12

Follow up:

I did not hear anything from that pastor after I sent the 2 emails.

I told Pam if he writes, just tell him I've delivered to him all that I have from God for him and if I hear anything else I will send it to him.

In his previous email, he mentioned multiple times that he wanted me to come "bless" his building.

Finally I told him this:  "If God told you to build a building, you don't need me or another human to bless your work.  For if the work is authored by God HE will bless the work".  Read Deuteronomy 28.
Joan Boney

Deuteronomy 28

1 And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe and to do all HIS commandments which I command thee this day, that the LORD thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth:

2 And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God.

3 Blessed shalt thou be in the city, and blessed shalt thou be in the field.

4 Blessed shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy ground, and the fruit of thy cattle, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep.

5 Blessed shall be thy basket and thy store.

6 Blessed shalt thou be when thou comest in, and blessed shalt thou be when thou goest out.

7 The LORD shall cause thine enemies that rise up against thee to be smitten before thy face: they shall come out against thee one way, and flee before thee seven ways.

8 The LORD shall command the blessing upon thee in thy storehouses, and in all that thou settest thine hand unto; and HE shall bless thee in the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.

9 The LORD shall establish thee an holy people unto Himself, as HE hath sworn unto thee, if thou shalt keep the commandments of the LORD thy God, and walk in HIS ways.

10 And all people of the earth shall see that thou art called by the name of the LORD; and they shall be afraid of thee.

11 And the LORD shall make thee plenteous in goods, in the fruit of thy body, and in the fruit of thy cattle, and in the fruit of thy ground, in the land which the LORD sware unto thy fathers to give thee.

12 The LORD shall open unto thee HIS good treasure, the heaven to give the rain unto thy land in HIS season, and to bless all the work of thine hand: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, and thou shalt not borrow.

13 And the LORD shall make thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath; if that thou hearken unto the commandments of the LORD thy God, which I command thee this day, to observe and to do them:

14 And thou shalt not go aside from any of the words which I command thee this day, to the right hand, or to the left, to go after other gods to serve them.
