* Delusions of the end times.

 Comments by Joan Boney:

Those person who are unwilling to see the truth, and those people who fail to have "a love of the truth" are in great danger of living in various delusions concerning people and things.

Often we want to see people as being "better" than they really are.  And that causes us to live in "delusions" about them.  For delusion is an imagination that is untrue.  As children of God, we need to live in truth.  Recently I prayed that I not be deluded for I know my flesh wants to see others better than they are.

Sometimes we think we can change them.

Often we never realize we can be affected negatively.

Paul says:

II Thessalonians 2:10-12   And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.  And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:  That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

When we are unwilling to see the truth, we are in great danger.

Our own desire can lead us wrongly.  Our own flesh can blind us to truth.

John 8:31-32 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in MY word, then are ye MY disciples indeed;  And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

To those who did not believe HIS Word, Jesus said:

John 8:43-44   Why do ye not understand MY speech? even because ye cannot hear MY word.
Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

The devil twists things.

We must hold to the truth about people and things and live in that truth.

John 3:12  But as many as received HIM, to them gave HE power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on HIS name (The Word):

We speak The Word when we are with them.  Do they receive The Word and begin walking in The Word.  Or do they continue in their own way and walk in it?

Amos 3:3   Can two walk together, except they be agreed?

I Cor. 15:33-34   Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners.  Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame.

If you walk in light and they walk in darkness, it won't work.

It is hard for me to walk away from those who do not receive the Word of God that I deliver to them.  There is often the thought that I need to give them one more word.  Or there is the thought that I didn't deliver the Word to them as well as I could.  Devils often want to keep us with the disobedient to pull us down and to cause us to think of the disobedient making us live in grief over them.

But the truth is this:

Titus 3:8-11  But avoid foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable and vain.  A man that is an heretick after the first and second admonition reject;  Knowing that he that is such is subverted, and sinneth, being condemned of himself.

Walk in the light of the Word as HE is in the light.

John 8:12   Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth ME shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.

James 4:4   Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.

(To support them in their sin is to make yourself the enemy of God.)

II Cor. 6:14-18   Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?

15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?

16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be MY people.

17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean; and I will receive you,

18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.
