* That we might be partakers of God's holiness

Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet

Godly correction enables us to partake of the holiness of God.  For by that correction, we are prepared to go in the way of God and thereby to please God.

Therefore we see the following scripture:

Hebrews 12:10   For they verily for a few days chastened us after their own pleasure; but HE for our profit, that we might be partakers of HIS holiness.

If we would judge ourselves as we read the Bible and turn to God properly, we would not have to be corrected.

But many church people are weak and sickly, for they fail to eat and drink the word of God in an appropriate way.

I Corinthians 11:28-29   But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup.
For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord's body.

To read Bible, or hear Word of God, without correctly applying such to your own life, is to bring "damnation" to yourself.

Sometimes we will start reading Bible and realize we have no idea at all what we have just been reading for we are thinking of secular things as we are reading Bible.

Often I pray before reading a chapter of scripture.  I ask God to help me read properly.  I ask God to give me wisdom.  I ask God to help me to keep my mind focused on that Word that I am reading.

Matthew 7:24-27    Jesus says ... whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:  And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.

And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.

James 1:22   But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.

A person deceives himself when he fails to do the WORD of God.

He thinks he is religious only to fail.

James 1:25   But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.

Continue to do the instruction given by The Word.
