What is the sign of the end? Jesus answers.

When we see leaves begin to bud on trees, we know spring and summer is upon us.

In Matthew 24, Jesus tells us the sign of the coming return of Jesus and the end of this present world.

Matthew 24:3-4   And as He sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto Him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?

And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.

For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.

The first sign of the end, stated by Jesus is this:  A flood of false preachers would come upon this world saying, "Jesus is Lord."  And because they say, "Jesus is Lord,"  many will listen to them and thereby they will be able to deceive many.

After World War II, we have witnessed big changes in the doctrines that are spoken by preachers in churches.  Where remarriage after divorce was once disapproved and scriptures upheld in the  churches, we have seen a reversal to the point it is difficult to find a church group today that holds to following scriptures.

Matthew 5:32   But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.

I Corinthians 7:10-11   And unto the married I command, yet not I, but the Lord, Let not the wife depart from her husband: But and if she depart, let her remain unmarried or be reconciled to her husband: and let not the husband put away his wife.

(The apostle Paul even states this is a "commandment" of the Lord.)

Many churches today are going along with doctrines of this world and falling away from doctrines of Christ set forth in Bible.

* They accept homosexuals and lesbians into the congregation and cast aside the scriptures of Romans 1:26-28   For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.

And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;

God says drunkenness is a sin.  The world today often calls drunkenness a disease.

I Corinthians 6:9-11   Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate (homosexuals), nor abusers of themselves with mankind, Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.

And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.

(After God cleanses us and causes us to have a new spirit in us, the Holy Spirit, we turn from our previous sins and no longer pursue sins we once pursued.)

As individual churches fall away from scripture and go in another way we see the warning of Jesus in Matthew 24 coming to pass as the first sign of the end times.  

False preachers will flood the world and many will follow their pernicious ways.

The flood of false preachers has been rampant for more than 50-years and we have witnessed this change of doctrine in our church groups.

In Matthew 24, Jesus told of several other things we can expect to see toward the end of the world and HIS coming.

Then Jesus said:

Matthew 24:14    And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.

By internet, some of us do preach the true gospel of the Bible in all the world as never before.

I know my desire to go all over the world preaching the saving blood of Jesus has magnified greatly during the past months.  

By a dream, in March, 2012, God showed me to start a blog ... which we did immediately at that time.  That blog has published continuously since then with more than 8,000 exhortations given in writing to the church.  (Jesus Ministries Exhortations)

During the past month, we have increased our advertising by $400 a month to help people find these messages on blog.

My desire to speak of the freeing we are given by the blood of Jesus has magnified as never before.

Is this part of the sign of end time spoken by Jesus in Matthew 24?

I think so.

Though the present times are exceedingly evil in many churches as they depart from scripture ... and evil is greatly approved in this world ... we encourage those who are of God to hold fast to the faith in God and work toward the scriptures as never before, building up their faith in the word of God.
