God does exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think

Pam Padgett ... member of body of Christ, operating in spiritual gift of helps

Recently while sitting in the fireplace area, Joan noticed a small wall hanging of a little cabin. I told Joan that had once been my "dream home".

Later I thought about that again and considered the house where we now live, and was reminded of the following ...

Ephesians 3:20-21  Now unto HIM that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, Unto HIM be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.

Certainly the place God has provided for me is far beyond what I ever thought.

And, unlike a little cabin, I am so happy that there is plenty of room for Joan (and her cat) to be here. There has been no problem for us to live in this house, Joan having her room where she can do her work and rest, while I use other parts of the house.

It is such a joy to me for Joan, someone who truly cares about things of God, to be here.

Also, in the past I've thought that Joan might enjoy seeing the dogs play, or to go to the dog park. But I never imagined that she would ever actually move here and enjoy these things.

When Joan sat in the fireplace area, the dogs were so happy to see her and get attention from her, so this is better even from the dogs' point of view!

Amazing how God provides what is far better than what we ever imagined.

Isaiah 55:8-9 For  MY thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways  MY ways, saith the Lord.  For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are MY ways higher than your ways, and MY thoughts than your thoughts.

The ramp to allow Joan to get in and out of the house was originally scheduled to be installed last Thursday.  But a very strong blizzard brought a lot of snow and road closures on Wednesday, so the ramp installation needed to be re-scheduled. The man who installed the ramp came on Friday.  I told him I was surprised he could come so quickly after the storm. He said he didn't want to delay us getting the ramp more than a day.

Incredible that it was in his heart to get this done as soon as possible.

Joann, the physical therapist, came late Friday afternoon, right after the ramp was installed.  She was there the first time Joan used the ramp with a walker, available to help if needed.  Joann also showed me how to manage a wheelchair on the ramp if that was ever needed.

Joan has an appointment with a physician's assistant on Monday afternoon.  By getting the ramp installed on Friday, the appointment didn't need to be re-scheduled.

Hymn:  Great is THY Faithfulness

(Click forward arrow > to play music:)

1.  Great is Thy faithfulness,
O God my Father,
There is no shadow of turning

  with Thee;
Thou changest not,
Thy compassions, they fail not
As Thou hast been
  Thou forever wilt be.

Chorus:

Great is Thy faithfulness!
Great is Thy faithfulness!

Morning by morning new mercies I see;

All I have needed Thy WORD hath provided—

Great is Thy faithfulness,
Lord, unto me!

2.  Summer and winter,
and springtime and harvest,
Sun, moon and stars in their courses above,
Join with all nature in manifold witness
To Thy great faithfulness, mercy and love.

3.  Pardon for sin and a peace that endureth,
Thine own dear presence to cheer and to guide;
Strength for today and bright hope for tomorrow,
Blessings all mine, with ten thousand beside!
