For more than 10 years a wonderful cleaning woman worked for me in Lubbock, Texas. She identifies herself as a Catholic. I could see by what she did that there was something of God there. I shared things of God with her from time to time.
Her husband was recently diagnosed with cancer. She gave the following testimony to Pam:
February 15, 2019
By telephone, Oralia said that one night the Lord came and visited her husband, telling him that HE (God) would get him (Oralia's husband) through this and that he would be alright.
When this happened, Oralia's husband began to cry.
Oralia said about the time she heard her husband cry, a spirit came over her and she found herself praising God.
The next morning Oralia said her husband was a different person, even feeling better physically and eating well again. My understanding is that he no longer needs to take the pain medicine he had been taking. She mentioned at least three times that her husband is "a different person".
II Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

A couple weeks after this I was listening to one of the hymns and had Oralia called to my attention. I had Pam send her a text message as follows:
February 27, 2019 from Pam Padgett to Oralia
Joan asked me to send a link to this hymn to you. You were brought to her attention today as she was listening to it.
You should be able to tap on the link to see the words and hear the music ... https://jesusministriesexhortations.blogspot.com/2019/02/hymn-beneath-cross-of-jesus.html

Oralia replied ... Thanks for the wonderful hymn and perfect timing. We were having a difficult night. Gave us peace.

From Joan to Oralia ...
In the plan of God in the Bible, God appoints certain people with special gifts. (Romans 12 and I Corinthians 12)
Some people are given a gift of helps. (I Corinthians 12:28) Pam has that gift.
I have been given two special gifts from God to help the church. What you just witnessed in my sending that hymn to you is one of those gifts.
The way God works with me is I will be looking at a scripture or a hymn and have a person called to my attention. When that happens, what I do is send that hymn or scripture to that person so that person can be comforted by God.
This is the work of a prophet of God, which you can read about in the Bible in Ephesians 4:11-12.
Along with what I sent to you, I want to send the introduction which I sent to the church about Jesus being our priest. You can click on the link at the bottom of this text to see that.
I am very glad this helped you. I knew it would because God always helps us in our time of need, and this is one way HE helps us.
Love,
Joan
