Psalm 119:89 For ever, O Lord, thy word is settled in heaven.
Settled:
- Determined
- Decided
- Established or secured permanently
- To fix or resolve conclusively
The word God gives us has already been established in heaven. Nothing man
does can change what God has said. Nothing will happen in the future that will change this.
God's word has been decided for ever.
While thinking about this, I was reminded that the testimony of the Lord is
sure ... having no doubt or uncertainty
Psalm 19:7 The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul: the
testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple.
Also, there is no variableness or shadow or turning with God ...
James 1:17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh
down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow
of turning.
