I Peter 3:10-11  For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile (guile: no sly or cunning words deceiving the other person to achieve what you want; deceptive words.)

11 Let him eschew (deliberately avoid) evil, and do good; let him seek peace, and ensue (pursue peace) it.

I Peter 4:1-2  Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin;

2 That he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God.
