Proverbs 2
7 HE layeth up sound wisdom for the righteous: HE is a buckler (shield) to them that walk uprightly.

We who are born of the Spirit of God want to do that which is right in the sight of God.
God, by HIS Spirit, shields us from those things which would harm us.
God will often bring a word to us by HIS Spirit to warn us. Or God might just cause us to be troubled about something or someone. We turn to God with that which troubles us and we are shown the truth and what to do so we can walk in peace concerning the situation.
We have no cause to live in fear for we have in us the Spirit of God to guide us and to warn us as needed.
I John 4:4. Greater is HE that is in you than he that is in the world.
We can go forth in peace because of God.
If something is wrong, the Spirit of God in us will cause us to be troubled as needed so we can take action through prayer.
Philippians 4:6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
Philippians 4:6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
In the meantime, we arise daily in prayer, asking God to show us the way to go that day ... asking God to fill our day ... taking every concern to God as that concern arises ... otherwise living in peace.

Our trust is in God. We turn to God asking HIM what we should do. We depend on God to show us what to do. We are continually thankful to God. And we take action as shown by God when action is needed.
Therefore in God we live, and move, and have our being, as said the apostle Paul. (Acts 17)
And we rejoice in every word given us by the Holy Spirit and we think on that Word knowing it is our life!
We are very different from this world who tries to care for itself by its own wisdom.
Our wisdom is from God and not of ourselves.
Therefore we can go forward in assurance that we have heard from God and are following God.
Jesus said: I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me. (John 5:30)
We also are certain we can do nothing of ourselves.
We depend on God to lead us by HIS Spirit who dwells in us and we follow the Spirit, walking in the directions given by the Spirit, thus controlling our own flesh by that Word from God.
For all who belong to God are led by the Spirit of God. (Romans 8:14)
Therefore we overcome our flesh and this world by the Spirit who dwells in us.
I Corinthians 3:16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?
I Corinthians 6:19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?
II Corinthians 13:5 Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?
And the Holy Spirit of God who lives in us does the following for us:
John 14:26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
John 16:13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.

Galatians 5:16 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.
As we go through life, we adjust our way according to that which the Spirit speaks to our minds.
Romans 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
