* We live in a more dangerous time than did the apostle Paul.

Joan Boney ... apostle and prophet
of Jesus Christ by the will of God
according to Ephesians 4:11-12.

Paul said:  This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.

In his life, Paul suffered greatly at the hands of the Jews.

But we suffer in an even more dangerous way.  We are surrounded by ways of the flesh through newspapers, Internet, television, in addition to those things people speak to us.

There is a very subtil, creeping danger to our souls today, in this time.

Paul was beaten physically for his belief in the Word.  That likely caused Paul to be very alert.  But the dangers we are surrounded by today, which could even steal our salvation from us, are very subtil.

We have attacks against our belief in the Word coming to us by words of the world which tickle our own flesh, through things like newspapers, Internet, television and such.

(Even if we are not around many people, are we reaching out to the world through these other areas?  Do we understand the danger to us caused by our own fleshly interests in this world?  I believe each of us must understand what we are doing and beware, "Take heed to yourselves", says Jesus.  Luke 21:34)

Therefore we see why Jesus said the love of many would wax cold in the end times!

Matthew 24:12-13 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.   But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

Our flesh is curious.  Our flesh wants to be entertained.  Our flesh wants excitement.

We can choose to feed our flesh by looking into things of this present world and thereby troubling ourselves needlessly in many ways ... or we can choose to open our Bibles or look at meditation verses of scripture which we have gathered and read these thus building the things of the Spirit.

There are so many ways we can please our flesh in these days.

But when I look at things like newscasts, I find their stories cause me to become angry, stealing peace from me, or their stories cause me to be troubled, fearful over that which might happen, which I try to diligently commit to God through prayer.

But all of it is vanity, needlessly caused by my own flesh.
