I am a stranger in this earth: Psalm 119

Joan Boney … apostle/prophet

How often I have looked at CNN headlines on tablet and haven't any idea of the subject they are addressing and most of the times I have no idea who it is they are naming or what they do.

When they do speak, I often can't tell what they are saying.  It is like they speak a language foreign to me.

And they seem so important and they seem that what they say is important and I so often feel what they think to be important is not important at all.  In a few days, they seem to have forgotten this important thing and have gone on to another important subject which I can't understand.

We are like the people in the Bible as we view this world.

Hebrews 11:13-15    These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth.

For they that say such things declare plainly that they seek a country.

And truly, if they had been mindful of that country from whence they came out, they might have had opportunity to have returned.

But now they desire a better country, that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for HE hath prepared for them a city.

We have some underlying truths from Bible which give us a solid foundation as we live temporarily on this earth.

I Thessalonians 4:13-18    But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep (dead) , that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.

For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with Him.

For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent
(precede) them which are asleep (dead).

For the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first

Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

This current heaven and earth will be destroyed by God.

II Peter 3:10-14    But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,

Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?

Nevertheless we, according to His promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.

(We will never be able to make this current earth righteous.  But the place Jesus takes us will be righteous.  So we look forward to the new heaven and the new earth wherein dwelleth righteousness.)

Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of Him in peace, without spot, and blameless.

God is in control of all people and of all things, even in control of the ungodly, though they do not know it.

II Chronicles 20:6   O Lord God of our fathers, art not thou God in heaven? and rulest not thou over all the kingdoms of the heathen? and in thine hand is there not power and might, so that none is able to withstand thee?

Proverbs 21:1    The king's heart is in the hand of the Lord, as the rivers of water: HE turneth it whithersoever HE will.

God has prepared a place for us when HE removes us from this earth.

Revelation 21:1-5    And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.

And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and HE will dwell with them, and they shall be His people, and God Himself shall be with them, and be their God.

And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

And HE that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new.

We will be with The Word  forever.

Think of how exciting it is for God to open your eyes to understand a portion of The Word.

To have The Word continually explain to us The Word would be a joy that is almost incomprehensible by us humans.

To have only righteousness in the new heaven is that which we have long desired as we view this present earth.

This present earth will never be righteous, no matter what we do.  But the new heaven and new earth wherein dwelleth righteousness will be only righteous.  II Peter 3:13

In the meantime, we are strangers and pilgrims on this earth, viewing it much as we would view a foreign country where we do not understand the language.
