The good that comes to us

Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet

For those of us who belong to God, the called, all things work together to create good in our lives, according to God's purpose for us.

Romans 8:28     And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to HIS purpose.

Even when at first it may disturb us in our flesh, God often opens our eyes to rejoice in that which seemed evil or distasteful to us.  And we come to see it as good, just as Joseph saw the evil committed by his brothers work together for good.

Genesis 45:4-5    And Joseph said unto his brethren, Come near to me, I pray you. And they came near. And he said, I am Joseph your brother, whom ye sold into Egypt.
Now therefore be not grieved, nor angry with yourselves, that ye sold me hither: for God did send me before you to preserve life.

Genesis 50:20  But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive.

In 1982, God gave me a vision:  I saw an established piece of land.  All of a sudden, one piece broke and slid away, then another went, then another, then another. It was silent. It was terrible to see.  Then I heard these words, "It will be alright until January, but in February it will break loose."

I warned the church.

February came and went and nothing happened.

I looked like a false prophet.

But I knew the vision was from God.  I waited many years, anxiously viewing each February as it came and went.  This went on for more than 30 years.  Then all of a sudden, God caused me to understand. The breaking away that I saw in the vision were people breaking away from me.  The vision removed me from the masses in the church who say "Jesus is Lord" but explain away scripture.  It freed me from the apostasy in the church.  For they did leave me in mass at the time of this vision.

God's ways are not our ways.

Isaiah 55:8-11    For MY thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways MY ways, saith the LORD.  For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are MY ways higher than your ways, and MY thoughts than your thoughts.

For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater:

So shall MY word be that goeth forth out of MY mouth: it shall not return unto ME void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

But by God's ways, those called by God are protected and freed from the flesh.

Had I continued in the popularity I had encountered in the church in 1980-81, I believe it would have been very difficult for me to see the apostasy that is happening in today's church and perhaps even more difficult to speak that message warning the church.

The flesh profits nothing.  But sometimes the flesh holds out such hope only to backfire.

God never disappoints us!
