Forgiven by God

Many of us know what it is to be born again and to be created as a new person with our sins being wiped out instantly by God through Jesus.

It is the greatest thing that can happen to us!

So what now?  What do we do now?

After I was born again in 1975, I asked this of my friend who had been raised Baptist.  I said to her, "What do we do now?"  She replied, "Nothing."

I suppose that was more like death to me than life.

But I had a very strong desire to read Bible and as I read I saw many things to do to cause myself to fit those scriptures ... thus to be conformed to the image of Christ.

I had been forgiven by God, born again, so I could now serve God instead of serving myself.

In the Bible, we read the following:

I Corinthians 6:9-11    Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate (homosexuals), nor abusers of themselves with mankind,  Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.

And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.

I could see we were to avoid these sins which were done before we were "washed" and sanctified.

We were not to be like the sow that is cleaned only to return to the mud and roll around in that mud.  We were not to be like the dog that returns to it's own vomit.

We were cleansed by the blood of Jesus.  To return to sin would be to trample under foot the blood of Jesus and count it as nothing.

We were not free to sin but free from sin.

When a divorced woman wants to remarry and she goes to her pastor and asks if she can remarry and her pastor approves her remarriage, that pastor has just told the woman she is free to commit adultery.

Galatians 5:19-21     Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

The Bible instructs:  I Corinthians 7:10-11    And unto the married I command, yet not I, but the Lord, Let not the wife depart from her husband:  But and if she depart, let her remain unmarried, or be reconciled to her husband: and let not the husband put away his wife.

Romans 7:1-3    Know ye not, brethren, (for I speak to them that know the law,) how that the law hath dominion over a man as long as he liveth?  For the woman which hath an husband is bound by the law to her husband so long as he liveth; but if the husband be dead, she is loosed from the law of her husband.  So then if, while her husband liveth, she be married to another man, she shall be called an adulteress: but if her husband be dead, she is free from that law; so that she is no adulteress, though she be married to another man.

Mark 10:6-12     Jesus says:  But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female.  For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and cleave to his wife; And they twain shall be one flesh: so then they are no more twain, but one flesh.

What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.

And in the house his disciples asked him again of the same matter.

And HE saith unto them, Whosoever shall put away his wife, and marry another, committeth adultery against her.  And if a woman shall put away her husband, and be married to another, she committeth adultery.

Adulterers will not inherit the kingdom of God.  I Corinthians 6:9-11 & Galatians 5:19-21

Jesus said to the woman taken in adultery, "Go ... and sin no more."

She was forgiven by Jesus but commanded to sin no more as she went forth.

It is completely unreasonable and unscriptural to think we, who are forgiven sins can go out and commit sins as we once did.

Those in churches who tell others they are free to do these things which are condemned by Bible are set in a way of destruction and will lead others into destruction instead of warning them against the sin.

Hebrews 10:26-31    For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,

But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.

He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses:  Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?

For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people.

It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

A homosexual who is forgiven by God is not freed to return to doing homosexual acts as he once did.

A divorced woman is not freed to commit adultery by remarrying.

A man is not freed to marry a divorced woman and commit adultery thereby.

We are freed from the flesh when we are born again so we can now serve God.

We are not freed from the flesh to return to the flesh.  To do such is to perish with the flesh.

II Peter 2:20-22    For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning.

For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them.

But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire.

The church is to warn others about sin.  Pastors and such are set in the church to warn the church against sin, not to approve sin.

God gave me a dream about this in 1979.


Destruction was everywhere.

I went into a meeting room where a meeting was going on. A man was speaking to a room filled with people. I went in and began to listen.

A second man rushed in and said: "Stop ... Wait ... Can't you see ... It's too late ... It's already begun." 

The first man resumed speaking.  

I looked out the window to see what had "already begun."

There was a tall pole with a yellow civil defense speaker at top of the pole. A gas was coming out of the speaker. I knew it was poisonous and would kill the people. It was coming directly toward us! 


The shocking thing was the speaker that was set there for the purpose of warning us was being used as the instrument which dispersed the gas that was poison and would kill us!  

I looked at the man seated next to me. He had a big grin on his face and was looking directly at the man who was speaking to the group. But then I saw this man was a corpse, though he looked alive. He was already dead!  

I looked about the room at the other people and realized they were all dead.  

As I sat back in my chair and listened to the man speaking I began to feel sleepy and I knew as I sat there among them this was killing me too.

It is a terrible time when the church approves sin.

Paul said this would happen in the church in the latter days.


II Timothy 3:1-5   This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.

For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,  traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;

Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

When the people in the church deny the power of the scriptures to rule over them and when they set aside scripture and set up a doctrine in the church opposite to scripture, we just have to turn away from them.  They are a part of the end time apostasy, the falling away from scripture as spoken of in II Thessalonians  2.  It had to happen, says Paul, before Jesus returns.

II Thessalonians 2:3-7    NASB    Let no one in any way deceive you, for it (the day of the Lord) will not come unless the apostasy comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction, who opposes and exalts himself above every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, displaying himself as being God. Do you not remember that while I was still with you, I was telling you these things? And you know what restrains him now, so that in his time he will be revealed. For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only he who now restrains will do so until he is taken out of the way.

That which was restraining antichrist was the scripture.

When portions of scripture was removed, lawlessness moved into the congregation.

This is the end time apostasy which we are seeing in today's church group.
