All things are created by THE WORD

Jesus, the WORD, was with God before the creation of heavens and earth.  John 1

By the WORD, God created the heavens and the earth.

God spoke and they were created.  Genesis 1

God spoke and we, too, were created.  Before HE spoke, we were the world, living according to the darkness of the world, by our own fleshly desires.

God spoke and we were changed immediately into a new creation.

This new creature was equipped to serve God.

It was all done by The WORD.

It was the same as what happened to Peter.

Matthew 16:13-18   When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of man am?

And they said, Some say that thou art John the Baptist: some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets.

He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am?

And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.

And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.

And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock (the word revealed by God) I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

John 14:6   Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by ME.   (The WORD)


We come to Jesus by doing THE WORD,  which is Jesus.

There is no other path to God but by THE WORD, Jesus.

If we try to go to God another way, we will fail.  Therefore we hear the Word and do the Word and walk in the light of the Word, doing that instruction.

Matthew 5:32    But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.

I Corinthians 7:10-11    And unto the married I command, yet not I, but the Lord, Let not the wife depart from her husband:  But and if she depart, let her remain unmarried, or be reconciled to her husband: and let not the husband put away his wife.

There is no other way for us to go in the church.  THE WORD is THE WAY.

I Corinthians 6:9-11    Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate (homosexuals), nor abusers of themselves with mankind,  Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.

We are not freed that we might sin nor continue in sin, but rather we are saved from sin that we might no longer live in that sin.

THEREFORE:  

I John 1:6-7    If we say that we have fellowship with HIM, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:  But if we walk in the light, as HE is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.

After we are born again, we no longer continue to do the sins we once did.  We turn from those sins and do the WORD, walking in the light.

But if we explain away portions of the Word in order to continue in sin, we choose darkness and in that case the blood of Jesus no longer cleanses us of sin.  Rather we have denied the blood by choosing the sin.

Hebrews 10:26-31    For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,  But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.  He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses:  Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace? For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people. It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

So if a man knows Jesus said it will be adultery if he chooses to marry a divorced woman, and he marries her anyway, this man sins "willfully", denying the blood of Jesus in his willful sin.  He brings God's judgment upon himself.  Matthew 5:32

If the divorced woman knows it is "a commandment of the Lord" that she remain unmarried or return to her husband, but she doesn't care what the Bible says and wants what her flesh wants, she sins willfully, denying the blood of Jesus in the matter at hand.  I Corinthians 7:10-11

In the above cases, neither chose to go in the way of the WORD although they still say "Jesus is Lord."  By their willful acts, they show Jesus is not LORD over them for they deny the WORD by their acts.  The WORD does not rule over them.  Their own flesh and desires of the flesh rules over them.

In the day of judgment, they will be judged by THE WORD which they have gone against.

Therefore to set ourselves in good position, we uphold THE WORD by doing THE WORD.

If you think of Jesus in any form other than THE WORD, you deceive yourself.

Jesus is THE WORD.
