The doctrine of Christ

Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet

II John vv.9-11    Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.  If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed:
For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.

What is the doctrine of Christ?

Certainly the "doctrine of Christ" is the belief that Jesus is Lord and HE died to pay for our sins.

Every Christian based church that I know of teaches this truth.

But the doctrine of Christ is every concept taught us by the Word in the New Testament.

So we examine the doctrine of Christ concerning specific issues, such as divorce/remarriage,  fornication, adultery, homosexuals & lesbians,  drunkenness and other things.

We abide in the doctrine of Christ by holding fast to that doctrine which is taught us in Bible.

* Concerning divorced woman remarrying:

I Corinthians 7:10-11    And unto the married I command, yet not I, but the Lord, Let not the wife depart from her husband:   But and if she depart, let her remain unmarried, or be reconciled to her husband: and let not the husband put away his wife.

* Concerning a man marrying a divorced woman:

Matthew 5:32    Jesus says:  whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.

* Concerning a man divorcing his wife who is faithful:

Matthew 5:32 ... Jesus says:  But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery:

If a man divorces "a faithful wife", and this faithful wife remarries, she will commit adultery, but her husband who divorced her will be the cause of her adultery.

There was a man in our church group who filed divorce proceedings against his wife.  I called him and asked him, "Was your wife unfaithful?"  He replied, "No."  I told him the only grounds for a man divorcing a faithful wife was if she was unfaithful.  He dropped the divorce proceedings.

Some church groups teach a woman can divorce an unfaithful husband and remarry, but this is not what the Bible teaches concerning women.  Remember what Paul said was a "commandment of the Lord" concerning the woman:  And unto the married I command, yet not I, but the Lord, Let not the wife depart from her husband:   But and if she depart, let her remain unmarried, or be reconciled to her husband:  I Corinthians 7:10-11

* Concerning homosexuals & lesbians:

Romans 1:26-28    For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:  And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.
And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;

Homosexuals and lesbians chose to go "against nature" and God gave them over to their choice.

No.  They were not born this way as they would have you believe.  For if they can get you to believe that, how can they be guilty?  But the doctrine of Christ, the Bible shows us truth from God.  We must cling to that truth.

* Concerning drunkenness:

Society today is calling drunkenness a disease.  The Bible calls drunkenness a sin.

Galatians 5:19-21    Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

Here is what the apostle Paul says to do if anyone in the church is a drunkard ... or fornicator ...

I Corinthians 5:11, 13    But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat.  ... Therefore put away from among yourselves that wicked person.

The churches today have "fallen away" from most of these doctrines of Christ.

They set up "another doctrine" which is opposite to the instruction given in Bible concerning these matters.

This allows apostasy to enter into the church group.  For antichrist is held back by specific scriptures.

The removal of these scriptures and the setting up of another doctrine in the church is the end time apostasy which the Bible tells us will come in the last days before Jesus returns.

II Thessalonians 2    NASB    Let no one in any way deceive you, for it (the day of the LORD) will not come unless the apostasy comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction, who opposes and exalts himself above every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, displaying himself as being God. Do you not remember that while I was still with you, I was telling you these things?   And you know what restrains him now, so that in his time he will be revealed.

That which restrained antichrist and kept him out of the church was the scripture.

When specific scripture was removed from the church group, antichrist was free to move into the church group and lawlessness entered into the group as they went opposite from scripture in the church.

What we are seeing today is the end time apostasy in the church as told us by the apostle Paul in II Thessalonians 2.

Concerning the end time, the last days ...

Matthew 24:3-5    And as HE sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto HIM privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?

And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.  For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.

This is exactly what we see today in church groups ... they come saying "Jesus is Lord" ... but they deceive many by explaining away specific scripture such as the ones on divorce- remarriage, men marrying a divorced woman, homosexuals & lesbians, drunkenness.

Don't be deceived by them because they seem to acknowledge Jesus as Lord.

By their actions they show Jesus (the Word) is not reigning over them in specific issues of this life, but they have set up another doctrine to explain away sin and to approve sin in the congregation, taking on the ideas of this world.

Paul said this would happen:

II Timothy 3:1-5    This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.  For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;

Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

*****

They deny the power of the Holy Scriptures in specific areas to rule over them.

From such people as this, turn away.

Just leave them when you see this in church groups.

This is the end time apostasy, the falling away from doctrine of the scriptures, in the church.
