Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet
Hebrews 1 ... 1 God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, 2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;
Jesus same to the earth in the form of a man born of a woman though it was through a woman, Mary, who was a virgin, never having known man. Therefore Jesus took on the form of a man, he had no earthly father as did all other men. Jesus existed before the earth was created and by HIM all things were created for Jesus is THE WORD and all things were created by HIM and without HIM there was no thing created.
John 1... 1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 The same was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

Before Jesus came to earth in form of a man, God spoke to people through HIS servants, the prophets.
After Jesus was crucified and then resurrected, God spoke to man by the Spirit of Jesus, by the Holy Spirit. Now there is no need to go to a prophet to see what God wants you to do. Because of Jesus we have a way to go directly to God through HIM by prayer. And God speaks to HIS people directly now by HIS Spirit, by the Holy Spirit of Jesus.
Jesus says to HIS disciples:
John 16 ... 7 Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away:for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.
Jesus arose from the earth and the spirit, the Holy Spirit, was given to those on this earth who belong to God. And the Holy Spirit dwells in each person who belongs to God. And the Holy Spirit speaks to us, often in a very small voice, from within us to show us the way of God as we live on this present earth.
Therefore what Paul says to us in verse one of Hebrews is:
Hebrews 1 ... 1 God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, 2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;

(Some printed Bibles say, at the end of the book of Hebrews, that this was written by Timothy but Hebrews 13:22-23, shows this book of Hebrews was not written by Timothy ... In verse 22-23, the writer of Hebrews says the following: "And I beseech you, brethren, suffer the word of exhortation:for I have written a letter unto you in few words. 23 Know ye that our brother Timothy is set at liberty; with whom, if he come shortly, I will see you.")

In the Old Testament times, God spoke to the people through the prophets.
In the "latter days", the New Testament times, after the resurrection, God gave HIS Spirit to live inside the individuals who believed on HIM and God spoke through HIS Spirit directly through HIS Son by the Spirit of HIS Son, the Spirit of Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit.
We no longer have to go to any man to find out what to do, though God might speak through another humans to us and certainly prophets were not removed from the church though God speaks directly through His spirit. God might still send a prophet to speak to us. We see examples in the NT of God sending a prophet to speak to Paul. Acts 21:10 / Agabus, a prophet was sent to tell Paul what would happen to him at Jerusalem. Note that this happened after the resurrection of Jesus when Paul already had the Holy Spirit in him. Yet God sent a prophet to speak to Paul. The same is true of us today. God sends HIS Spirit to dwell in us and HIS Spirit speaks directly to us, but God might also send a prophet to speak to the NT church today for we see examples of such in the NT Bible.
Here are four things the Holy Spirit that is in us does for us:
John 14:26 ... 26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
John 16:13 ... 13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth:for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak:and he will shew you things to come.
The Holy Spirit:
- teaches us all things (spiritual & secular)
- reminds us of what Jesus has said
- guides us into all truth
- shows us things to come

God spoke to the people by the prophets before Jesus came to the earth in the form of a man.
After the resurrection of Jesus, the Holy Spirit was given to the individuals who believe and the Holy Spirit dwells in us and speaks the will of God and the Word of God to us.

When I was baptized in water after I was born again, as the minister lowered me into the water, I heard these words which were spoken by the Holy Spirit: "This is like being buried with Christ."
As I came out of the water, I heard from the Holy Spirit: "This is like being raised with Christ."
That is exactly what Paul speaks to us in Romans 6, except I didn't know Romans 6 at that time.
Romans 6 ... 3 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? 4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death:that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
5 For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:6 Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. 7 For he that is dead is freed from sin. 8 Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him:9 Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him. 10 For in that he died, he died unto sin once:but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God. 11 Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.
12 Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof. 13 Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin:but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God. 14 For sin shall not have dominion over you:for ye are not under the law, but under grace.
15 What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid. 16 Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness? 17 But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you. 18 Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness.
