Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet
We are not perfected by doing
the law . The law does not make us perfect . The law shows us we are
sinners . But the law cannot perfect us. Even if you think you are doing the law, still it will not save you.
A good example for us is the apostle Paul who said the following concerning himself:
Phil. 3 ... 1 Finally, my brethren, rejoice in the Lord. To write the same things to you, to me indeed is not grievous, but for you it is safe.
2 Beware of dogs, beware of evil workers, beware of the concision. 3 For we are the circumcision, which worship God in the spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh. 4 Though I might also have confidence in the flesh. If any other man thinketh that he hath whereof he might trust in the flesh, I more:5 Circumcised the eighth day, of the stock of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, an Hebrew of the Hebrews; as touching the law, a Pharisee; 6 Concerning zeal, persecuting the church; touching the righteousness which is in the law, blameless.
7 But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ. 8 Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord:for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ, 9 And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:10 That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;
If you are driving down
the street and the speed limit is 45 and you are driving 50 it shows
you that you are breaking the law. (If there was no law you would not be shown to be breaking the law.)
If you slow down to 43 miles
an hour where the speed limit is 45 mph, the fact that you slow down to
43 miles an hour does not perfect you, nor make you righteous in the sight of God. .
We cannot be perfected
in the sight of God by doing the law . If we could then there was no
reason for the sacrifice of Jesus Christ .
Therefore in Hebrews 7 we read that the law made no man perfect .
We are perfected by the sacrifice made by Jesus Christ . We will never be made perfect by our own sacrifice by doing the law .
Therefore if we trust in ourselves that we are righteous because of what we do we will fail.
If we trust in that which God did and that which Jesus did, we will never fail.
We are not perfected by our works. We are perfected through the works of Jesus and the plan of God for our salvation which is faith in HIM.
Mt. 7 ... Jesus says ... 21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you:depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
24 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:25 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not:for it was founded upon a rock. 26 And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:27 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell:and great was the fall of it.
