A still small voice

Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet

I Kings 19 ... And HE (God) said (to Elijah), Go forth, and stand upon the mount before the LORD. And, behold, the LORD passed by, and a great and strong wind rent the mountains, and brake in pieces the rocks before the LORD; but the LORD was not in the wind: and after the wind an earthquake; but the LORD was not in the earthquake:

12 And after the earthquake a fire; but the LORD was not in the fire:

and after the fire a still small voice.

God guides us and teaches us and shows us what to do and so often this is done "in a still small voice" ... a gentle voice, almost imperceptible.

We are helped in secular matters ... we are helped in spiritual matters ... we are comforted ...

All this is by God ... often in a still small voice rising up inside us to show us the way of God.

It is the Holy Spirit of Jesus dwelling in us by HIS Spirit.  It is HIS voice that we know and hear.

Always it is THE WORD that is with us, in us and leading us.  We dwell in peace by HIS Word.  We rest in HIM because we believe THAT Word that HE gives us.  Therefore we enter into HIS rest through belief of HIS Word.

Heb. 3 ...

While it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation.
16 For some, when they had heard, did provoke: howbeit not all that came out of Egypt by Moses.
17 But with whom was he grieved forty years? was it not with them that had sinned, whose carcases fell in the wilderness?
18 And to whom sware he that they should not enter into his rest, but to them that believed not?
19 So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief.

So we "labor" to believe, keeping HIS word before us constantly and working to do THAT WORD, setting aside the word of men and choosing THAT WORD given in us by God.

It is a labor to enter into HIS rest, believing what HE says.

Joshua 1:8 ... This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.

Verse 9 ... God says ... "Have not I commanded you?"

Isn't it God speaking by HIS WORD to us?

Focus on that Word that you believe God is speaking to you in the matter at hand.

And ...

If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.  James 1:5
