The great and terrible day of the Lord

Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet

Joel 2:31 ... 31 The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood,
before the great and the terrible day of the Lord come.
32 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be delivered:

This week, we had a weather event in Lubbock which cause the mayor to declare a state of emergency for the city and to call out the National Guard.  (I don't know if that has ever happened before here.)

It doesn't often snow here.  No one is prepared for snow.  A blizzard came in on Sunday, December 27, 2015, and in a 24 hr. period of time it snowed 10 inches.  Over 360 cars were stranded just inside the city.  The National Guard had to be called to service to rescue the motorists.

All this caused me to think of how terrible the time would be when the sun turns to darkness.  That would be unthinkable but we, who know Bible, know that time will come.  If there is no sun, there would be no natural melting of snow.  There would be no warmth on the earth and the plants couldn't grow.  I can't even begin to imagine what a few days would be like if the sun became darkness and failed to shine.

I was terrified.

And then I remembered the following promise to us ...

I Thess. 5 ...  9 For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ, 10 Who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him.
11 Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do.
