Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet
A couple of years ago, Barbara Preston (a member of body of Christ) was at her daughter's home for Thanksgiving. At the table, before they ate, her young granddaughter (approximately 8 years old), gave a prayer.
I certainly questioned this when I heard about a child like this giving a prayer which seemed structured, as if it were memorized. This should not be. Such is not what you should teach a child concerning prayer and concerning God. Prayer is something you speak to God from the heart.
Later Barbara did tell her daughter this. (None of these people are born again.)
After Barbara communicated this by email to her daughter, I'm sure many negative thoughts came to Barbara, "Did I do the right thing in telling them this."
It is very common to have such thoughts after we speak truth to another person.
The important thing for us to understand and to remember is that we speak truth because we love God, because we love the word of God, and even because we love that person we are correcting.
If you did not love that person you would remain silent. It is love to speak truth.
