πŸ’₯ Our flesh is crucified with Christ that we might live unto God.

Day by day we are conformed to the image of Christ as we put on HIS Word doing HIS Word.

Galatians 3

26 For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.

27 For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.

28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.

We dress ourselves in Christ as we read HIS Word daily, doing HIS Word.

The old man, the creature we once were, is dead and a new creature arises in us through Christ, The Word.

2 Corinthians 5

17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to Himself by Jesus Christ (The Word).

Wait daily on The Word.  Walk in The Word, serving HIM daily as you are shown by HIM.

Read the Bible and pay attention to those scriptures that stand out to you that day as you read.  Focus on that Word.  Dress yourself in that Word, doing that Word.  Live in HIM, the Word.

The Word comes and then we have faith by the word, to act on the word because we believe what God has said to us.

And we keep our old flesh crucified with Christ, The Word.  And the new man serves God by the Word given HIM.

When I was baptized, the minister lowered me into the water and the Holy Spirit said:  "This is like being buried with Christ."

As I came out of the water the Holy Spirit said:  "This is like being raised with Christ."

We keep our flesh under the control of the Spirit by walking in those ideas brought to us by the Spirit of God.

Romans 8:1  There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

And the Holy Spirit brings The Word to our mind as we walk on this earth that we might put away our flesh and go in the way of God, doing the will of God in the issues pertaining to this life.

Our flesh wants to debate, argue, strike out at the other person and make ourselves look right.

The Holy Spirit reminds us that what we are about to do is not a good thing and often the Spirit will bring us a Word which gives us an opportunity to go another direction, in the way of God.

Galatians 5

16 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.

17 For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.

18 But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.

19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,

20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,

21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

23 Meekness, temperance:
against such there is no law.

24 And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.

(By choosing to go in the way of the Holy Spirit rather than in the way our flesh wants to go we keep our flesh "dead" by not letting it rise up and lead us.  Instead we go in the way shown us by the Holy Spirit of God.)

So we keep our flesh crucified by choosing to allow the Spirit to rule and we do the things of the Spirit.

Pray for God to help you and keep these scriptures before you day and night until they get deeply enough in you to allow you to do them and you understand which is the way of the flesh and which is the way of the Spirit.

(Gal. 5:  way of the flesh verses 19-21 ... way of the Spirit verses 22-23)
