πŸ’₯ Depart from iniquity, says Paul.

2 Timothy 2:19  Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are HIS. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.

iniquity:  sins against the Word of God

Sins of the flesh:

Galatians 5:19-21  Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,

20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,

21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

I Timothy 5:22   Lay hands suddenly on no man, neither be partaker of other men's sins: keep thyself pure.

Paul warns to to beware of whom you approve.  That person should first prove himself to be a follower of the doctrines of Christ and the Spirit of God.

Many are deceived by appearance of men and women who dress well and have an outward appearance of beauty, smiling and dressing well, and even saying words that fit the Bible, but failing to do the Word of God.

Jesus warns us:

Matthew 24:3-5  And as HE sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto HIM privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of THY coming, and of the end of the world?

4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.

5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.

Paul says:

2 Timothy 3:13  But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.

Titus 2:11-14

11 For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,

12 Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;

13 Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;

14 WHO gave Himself for us, that HE might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto Himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.

Sometimes evil is cloaked in music and song.

Recently there was a movie that had a song I wanted to record.  I did manually record that portion of the movie but I had to watch the evil of the movie up to the point where the song was presented.  I turned the sound off through the movie and recorded the song.  But there was so much evil in the movie itself, I ended up deleting the song, not wanting in any way to approve the evil being done in the movie, or to allow the evil of that movie to "rub off" on my soul.  I was even ashamed I recorded that much of it and asked God to cleanse me of all unrighteousness.

2 John

8 Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that we receive a full reward.

9 Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.

10 If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed:

11 For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.

Be careful who you approve and what you approve lest your own soul be corrupted.
