That which we cannot deny.

Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet

After I was born again in 1975, God did many signs and wonders in my life, confirming HIS calling upon my life and teaching me what I was to do in that calling.

One large problem for me was the following.

Concerning the gathering of the church, the apostle Paul said:

I Corinthians 14:34-35    Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience as also saith the law.

And if they will learn any thing, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church.

***

I said to God:  "I don't see how I can do these ministries in the church, in view of what Paul said in I Corinthians 14."

***

Immediately, the Holy Spirit said:  "Look at what the women were doing in I Corinthians 14."

***

By the statement made by Paul, it looked like these women had been disrupting the church gathering by asking questions.

Paul said: And if they will learn any thing, let them ask their husbands at home:   (I Corinthians 14:35)

This certainly looks to me like these women were out of order, interrupting the church gathering by asking questions.

***

But God gave me another body of truth about women speaking in the church and this is something I could not explain away nor deny!

God reminded me that the evangelist Philip had 4 daughters who did "prophesy".

Acts 21:8-9    and we entered into the house of Philip the evangelist, which was one of the seven; and abode with him.   And the same man had four daughters, virgins, which did prophesy.

Prophesy is for the church.

I Corinthians 14 ...  But he that prophesieth speaketh unto men to edification, and exhortation, and comfort.

He that speaketh in an unknown tongue edifieth himself; but he that prophesieth edifieth the church.

These 4 daughters would have to be able to speak to the church to "prophesy"... to give that which they heard from God.

By this, I was convinced Paul was speaking of another matter in I Corinthians when he said let women keep silence in the church.

I would not put up with disorderly women in the church.

Once I visited a non-denominational church.   Pastor was teaching the Sunday school class.  In the middle of Pastor's teaching, a woman jumped up, waved her hands into the air, began shouting "Praise the Lord" and ran about the room.  The people thought it was the Holy Spirit in her.  I thought it was "another spirit" in her.  I was reminded of the following words for the gathering of the church.
I Corinthians 14:40   Let all things be done decently and in order.

I could not deny this fact of Acts 21:9.

***

Later I saw another section of scripture which pertained to women speaking to the church.

Acts 1:14-18    But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and said unto them, Ye men of Judaea, and all ye that dwell at Jerusalem, be this known unto you, and hearken to my words:
For these are not drunken, as ye suppose, seeing it is but the third hour of the day.

But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel;

And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of MY Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:

And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy:

***

This cannot be denied nor explained away.

***

To be able to stand against the reasonings of devils, we need proofs that we cannot explain away.

We stand by faith, but our faith often needs to be based on something which we cannot deny.

Others might deny the truth, but we cannot deny the truth.

I've always found that God sets it up where I will have in my heart and mind HIS undeniable truth.

The gates of hell will not be able to stand against that WORD revealed to us by God.

Hymn:  Praise Him, Praise Him, Jesus our blessed redeemer

(Click forward arrow > to play music:)

1.  Praise Him! praise Him!
Jesus, our blessed Redeemer!

Sing, ye saints! His wonderful love proclaim!

Hail Him! hail Him! mightiest angels in glory;

Strength and honor give to His holy name!

Like a shepherd, Jesus will feed His people,

In His WORD He carries them all day long;

O ye saints that live in the light of His presence,

Praise Him! praise Him!
ever in joyful song!

2.  Praise Him! praise Him!
Jesus, our blessed Redeemer,

For our sins He suffered and bled and died;

He, our Rock, our Hope of eternal salvation,

Hail Him! hail Him!
Jesus, the Crucified;

Loving Savior, meekly enduring sorrow,

Crowned with thorns that cruelly pierced His brow;
Once for us rejected, despised, and forsaken,

Prince of Glory, ever triumphant now.

3.   Praise Him! praise Him!
Jesus, our blessed Redeemer,

Heavenly portals, loud with hosannahs ring!

Jesus, Savior, reigneth for ever and ever;

Crown Him! crown Him!
Prophet and Priest and King!

Death is vanquished!

Tell it with joy, ye faithful,
Where is now thy victory, boasting grave?
Jesus lives!

No longer thy portals are cheerless;
Jesus lives, the mighty and strong to save.

Scripture pertaining to this hymn:

Romans 5:5-9     the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.  For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.

For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die.

But God commendeth HIS love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

Much more then, being now justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him.

(We didn't shed our blood for our sins, but Jesus shed His blood to pay for our sins...without shedding of blood, there is no remission of sins  Hebrews 9:22...we cannot hope to pay for our sins and our wrong actions by our good works..only by shed blood are we cleansed)

Revelation 5:1-12   And I saw in the right hand of him that sat on the throne a book written within and on the backside, sealed with seven seals.

And I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, Who is worthy to open the book, and to loose the seals thereof?

And no man in heaven, nor in earth, neither under the earth, was able to open the book, neither to look thereon.

And I wept much, because no man was found worthy to open and to read the book, neither to look thereon.

And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof.

And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth.

And HE came and took the book out of the right hand of him that sat upon the throne.

And when he had taken the book, the four beasts and four and twenty elders fell down before the Lamb, having every one of them harps, and golden vials full of odours, which are the prayers of saints. And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation; And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.

And I beheld, and I heard the voice of many angels round about the throne and the beasts and the elders: and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands; Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing.

And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, be unto Him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever.

And the four beasts said, Amen. And the four and twenty elders fell down and worshipped HIM that liveth for ever and ever.

Luke 24:1-8   Now upon the first day of the week, very early in the morning, they came unto the sepulchre, bringing the spices which they had prepared, and certain others with them.

(The dead human body decays and stinks. They brought spices to cover the odor of death. But God was not going to suffer the body of Jesus to see corruption as other flesh sees corruption.)

And they found the stone rolled away from the sepulchre.

And they entered in, and found not the body of the Lord Jesus.

And it came to pass, as they were much perplexed thereabout, behold, two men stood by them in shining garments:

And as they were afraid, and bowed down their faces to the earth, they said unto them, Why seek ye the living among the dead?

He is not here, but is risen: remember how HE spake unto you when HE was yet in Galilee,

Saying, The Son of man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again.

And they remembered His words,

Instruction in Righteousness: Acts 4

And as they spake unto the people, the priests, and the captain of the temple, and the Sadducees, came upon them, Being grieved that they taught the people, and preached through Jesus the resurrection from the dead.

(The Sadducees preached there was no resurrection from the dead.)

And they laid hands on them, and put them in hold (in prison) unto the next day: for it was now eventide.

Howbeit many of them which heard the word believed; and the number of the men was about five thousand.

***

And it came to pass on the morrow, that their rulers, and elders, and scribes,And Annas the high priest, and Caiaphas, and John, and Alexander, and as many as were of the kindred of the high priest, were gathered together at Jerusalem.

And when they had set them in the midst, they asked, By what power, or by what name, have ye done this?

***

Then Peter, filled with the Holy Ghost, said unto them, Ye rulers of the people, and elders of Israel, If we this day be examined of the good deed done to the impotent man, by what means he is made whole; 10 Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by Him doth this man stand here before you whole.

11 This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner.

12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name  (Jesus, The Word) under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

***

13 Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.

14 And beholding the man which was healed standing with them, they could say nothing against it.

15 But when they had commanded them to go aside out of the council, they conferred among themselves,16 Saying, What shall we do to these men? for that indeed a notable miracle hath been done by them is manifest to all them that dwell in Jerusalem; and we cannot deny it.

17 But that it spread no further among the people, let us straitly threaten them, that they speak henceforth to no man in this name.

18 And they called them, and commanded them not to speak at all nor teach in the name of Jesus.

***

19 But Peter and John answered and said unto them, Whether it be right in the sight of God to hearken unto you more than unto God, judge ye. 20 For we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard.

***

21 So when they had further threatened them, they let them go, finding nothing how they might punish them, because of the people: for all men glorified God for that which was done.22 For the man was above forty years old, on whom this miracle of healing was shewed.

***

23 And being let go, they went to their own company, and reported all that the chief priests and elders had said unto them.

24 And when they heard that, they lifted up their voice to God with one accord, and said, Lord, thou art God, which hast made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and all that in them is: 25 Who by the mouth of thy servant David hast said, Why did the heathen rage, and the people imagine vain things? 26 The kings of the earth stood up, and the rulers were gathered together against the Lord, and against his Christ.

27 For of a truth against thy holy child Jesus, whom thou hast anointed, both Herod, and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles, and the people of Israel, were gathered together, 28 For to do whatsoever thy hand and thy counsel determined before to be done.

29 And now, Lord, behold their threatenings: and grant unto Thy servants, that with all boldness they may speak Thy word,

30 By stretching forth thine hand to heal; and that signs and wonders may be done by the name of thy holy child Jesus.

***

31 And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness.

***

32 And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and of one soul: neither said any of them that ought of the things which he possessed was his own; but they had all things common.

33 And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all.

34 Neither was there any among them that lacked:
for as many as were possessors of lands or houses sold them, and brought the prices of the things that were sold, 35 And laid them down at the apostles' feet: and distribution was made unto every man according as he had need.

(What great faith it would take to sell all you have and lay all your money at the apostle's feet.  It would be so much easier just to give what you think a person needs.  But to give all to the apostles to use as needed would put you without money and cause you to be dependent.  This was incredible faith and love.  There is no indication the apostles told anyone to do this.  God put it into their hearts to do this. And they acted by faith in God and by love toward God and toward the people of God.)

36 And Joses, who by the apostles was surnamed Barnabas, (which is, being interpreted, The son of consolation,) a Levite, and of the country of Cyprus, 37 Having land, sold it, and brought the money, and laid it at the apostles' feet.

Live in Peace ... This Does Not Mean You Approve Sin

Book:  Exhortations For The Church
Vol. 9, Chapter 24
Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet

As the sin on this earth increases around us, we are disturbed when we see the sin.

What should we do that we can live in peace in the midst of the sin?

This seems impossible.

But through God it is possible.

Some of you have children who are not believers in God as we are.  You are greatly disturbed when you hear what they say and when you see what they do.

The critical thing in such cases is to turn to God in prayer, pouring out your heart to God, making your request known unto God through prayer.

Paul says ...

Phil. 4:6-7 ... Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.  And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

To follow my cousin (by Joan Boney)

5-29-2019

Jeanne:

To follow you and your thinking ...

First I would have to denounce:

Ephesians 4:8; 11-12 ... Wherefore HE saith, When HE (Jesus) ascended up on high, HE led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men.

... HE (Jesus) gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;

For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:

***

I would have to denounce the Holy Spirit of God and the work Jesus said HE (The Holy Spirit) would do in the believer.

John 14:26   Jesus says:     But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

John 16:13   Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.

***

I would have to give up part of Acts 2:38  ... the part marked in red ....

Acts 2:38   Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

***

One of the gifts of the Holy Ghost is the spiritual gift of exhortation, whereby the person exhorts the church in ways of God.  I would have to denounce that gift and these scriptures concerning that gift.

Romans 12:6-8    Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith; Or ministry, let us wait on our ministering: or he that teacheth, on teaching;  Or he that exhorteth, on exhortation: he that giveth, let him do it with simplicity; he that ruleth, with diligence; he that sheweth mercy, with cheerfulness.

Then I would have to stop doing the following two scriptures:

Hebrews 3:12-14   Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God. But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin. For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end;

Hebrews 10:23-26    Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for HE is faithful that promised;) And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,

***

I would end up having to give up God, faith in God, the Holy Spirit, faith in the work of the Holy Spirit, Jesus and faith in His heavenly calling and all that has been done for me to prepare me for the work I do for Him and the church in edifying the church.

If I gave up these beliefs, then I would  have to return to the world and the way the world thinks and lives.

I have fought very hard to hold onto God and I continue to fight by immersing myself in the Word of God and the actions of God.

I just don't want to give up the things of the Bible.

Paul said, Acts 26:19-20

Whereupon, O king Agrippa, I was not disobedient unto the heavenly vision:

But shewed first unto them of Damascus, and at Jerusalem, and throughout all the coasts of Judaea, and then to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God, and do works meet for repentance.

I'd rather do as Paul did and cling to that heavenly vision and calling given to me by Jesus with God and Holy Spirit witnessing.

Joan,
apostle and prophet of Jesus Christ by the will of God

To the church:  From Joan Boney

In a battle like you have witnessed with my Church of Christ cousin, you either come out of that battle more established in God ... or you are swept away from God

This is the 3rd letter to that cousin.

To view the other letters, go to right side of home page of blog and look under Blog Archive:

* Letter to a cousin (letter # 1)

* Fighting when attacked  (letter # 2)

I Peter 4   Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you:

13
But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when His glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.14 If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are ye; for the spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you: on their part HE is evil spoken of, but on your part HE is glorified.15 But let none of you suffer as a murderer, or as a thief, or as an evildoer, or as a busybody in other men's matters.16 Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf.17 For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?18 And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?

19 Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls to HIM in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator.

Women speaking in the church?

Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet

Concerning what was to happen at the gathering of the church, the apostle Paul said:

I Corinthians 14:34-35    Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience as also saith the law.

And if they will learn any thing, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church.

***

After I was born again in 1975, a few days later, in the night, I was transported into heaven.

I was with God, with Jesus, with the Holy Spirit.  I didn't see any images, it was a spiritual experience.

At that time, I was merged into the body of Jesus, made one with the Word of God, God and Holy Spirit witnessing.

A few nights later, the exact same thing happened to me again.

I did not know what this meant.

Months later, or years later, I came to believe the two times I was taken into heaven, had to do with the calling of Jesus, which I was persuaded was upon my life, in the two ministries of apostle and prophet for the church.

***

By a word of prophecy, God had said to me the following:

"I have called you and set you into the body of Christ as an apostle."

"An apostle?"  I cried out.   "What's an apostle?"

At that time, in the church circles and prayer groups, often someone would come to me saying they all knew the hand of God was strongly upon me.

My own pastor stood up at our church group and said,  "Joan is not called as a teacher.  She is a prophet."  (Robert Tilton at Word of Faith church group)

Don Gelino, teacher of our singles' class at that church heard what Bob said and Don said,

... "That's it!  Prophet."  Don had often started to identify me as a teacher but had a check in his spirit and knew it wasn't a teacher so he said nothing until Bob made this statement about me.

(I never told anyone at that church group that God had also told me HE had called me as an apostle.)

I did ask Don and others what apostles do in the church.  Don didn't know.  I asked who were the other apostles at that church group  and no one knew, though that group professed to believe what Jesus said in the following scripture.

Ephesians 4   v. 8   When HE (Jesus) ascended up on high, HE led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men.

11-12    And HE (Jesus) gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:

***

In those days, when God revealed those two ministries (apostle/prophet) to which I had been assigned by HIM, I asked God:

"How can this be considering what Paul said about women speaking in the church?"

Immediately, the following was brought to my mind:  "Look at what these women were doing?"

I looked at I Corinthians 14, and I saw these women were disrupting the church gathering by asking questions.

Paul said:  v. 35   And if they will learn any thing, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church.

Then God took me to the following scripture:

Acts 21:8-9    And the next day we that were of Paul's company departed, and came unto Caesarea: and we entered into the house of Philip the evangelist, which was one of the seven; and abode with him. And the same man had four daughters, virgins, which did prophesy.

I saw it immediately.

Prophesy is for the church.  To "prophesy" you would have to speak to the church.  These 4 daughters of Philip had to be able to speak to the church.

But women were not to disrupt the gathering of the church.  I certainly agree, and I would stop these women and have stopped them, given the opportunity.

(I would not put up with any form of disorder in the church, whether by men or by women.)

By these things I was convinced by the Spirit of God.

***

Yesterday I was reading our blog, the chapter of scripture in Acts 2.

Acts 2:1-8    And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven.

Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his own language.

And they were all amazed and marvelled, saying one to another, Behold, are not all these which speak Galilaeans?

And how hear we every man in our own tongue, wherein we were born?

Acts 2:12-18    And they were all amazed, and were in doubt, saying one to another, What meaneth this? Others mocking said, These men are full of new wine. 14 But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and said unto them, Ye men of Judaea, and all ye that dwell at Jerusalem, be this known unto you, and hearken to my words: For these are not drunken, as ye suppose, seeing it is but the third hour of the day.

But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel;

(Again, women speaking prophesies to the church gathering, was confirmed to me by this scripture.)

***

Through the years, people have said to me a woman cannot be an apostle.

I know of no scriptural basis for this statement.

In the Old Testament we have the example of Deborah ... a woman who judged Israel.

Though she was a prophetess, there were no apostles in Old Testament, Deborah did the work of apostle, for apostles are appointed as "judges" over doctrine in the church.

Judges 4:4-5   And Deborah, a prophetess, the wife of Lapidoth, she judged Israel at that time. And she dwelt under the palm tree of Deborah between Ramah and Bethel in mount Ephraim: and the children of Israel came up to her for judgment.

When a pastor is speaking a twisted doctrine, God often opens apostle's eyes to see that error.  Apostle goes to pastor to try to persuade him of his error.  Sometimes apostle also goes to elders of that church group with the error spoken.  Ideally the error would be presented to the entire congregation to keep the perverse speaking out of the church, but I've never seen this happen, except I spoke of the error on my radio broadcasts and now on this blog to entire congregation that they would not be swept away by the perversions spoken in churches.

The apostle Paul said this:

Acts 20:29-30    For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock.

Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them.

***

By the Holy Spirit calling scripture to my attention, I was convinced (I believe by God) that a woman could do the work of apostle/prophet in the NT church today.

I have done that work since 1980, faithful to God to speak all HIS counsel to individuals and to the church, usually on radio and later on blog.

***

Concerning work of apostle ... God took me to Acts 15 to show me this work to which HE had called me.

A question arose concerning church doctrine:  Do Gentiles have to be circumcised?  The apostles and elders met to discuss this.

It reminded me of the supreme court where each "judge" gives opinion and then one of the judges renders the opinion which will rule.

In Acts 15, it was the apostle James who presented the ruling on the matter of circumcision as it pertained to the Gentiles.

Acts 15:13-29    And after they had held their peace, James answered, saying, Men and brethren, hearken unto me:

Simeon hath declared how God at the first did visit the Gentiles, to take out of them a people for His name. And to this agree the words of the prophets; as it is written, After this I will return, and will build again the tabernacle of David, which is fallen down; and I will build again the ruins thereof, and I will set it up: That the residue of men might seek after the Lord, and all the Gentiles, upon whom My name is called, saith the Lord, who doeth all these things.

Known unto God are all His works from the beginning of the world.

Wherefore my sentence is, that we trouble not them, which from among the Gentiles are turned to God:  But that we write unto them, that they abstain from pollutions of idols, and from fornication, and from things strangled, and from blood.

For Moses of old time hath in every city them that preach him, being read in the synagogues every sabbath day.

Then pleased it the apostles and elders with the whole church, to send chosen men of their own company to Antioch with Paul and Barnabas; namely, Judas surnamed Barsabas and Silas, chief men among the brethren:

And they wrote letters by them after this manner; The apostles and elders and brethren send greeting unto the brethren which are of the Gentiles in Antioch and Syria and Cilicia.

Forasmuch as we have heard, that certain which went out from us have troubled you with words, subverting your souls, saying, Ye must be circumcised, and keep the law: to whom we gave no such commandment:

It seemed good unto us, being assembled with one accord, to send chosen men unto you with our beloved Barnabas and Paul,

Men that have hazarded their lives for the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

We have sent therefore Judas and Silas
(NT prophet), who shall also tell you the same things by mouth.

For it seemed good to the Holy Ghost, and to us, to lay upon you no greater burden than these necessary things;

That ye abstain from meats offered to idols, and from blood, and from things strangled, and from fornication: from which if ye keep yourselves, ye shall do well. Fare ye well.

Often, through the past 40 years, I have come across perverted doctrine in the church on the subject of divorce and remarriage after divorce.

I always speak up, presenting such doctrines as follows:

Matthew 5:32  Jesus says:   But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.

NO ... a woman cannot remarry if her husband is unfaithful to her for in above scripture Jesus says a woman who remarries commits adultery, but her husband who divorced a faithful wife will be the cause of her adultery if she remarries.  If the wife is unfaithful, the man can remarry.  The man who marries a divorced woman, commits adultery.

Also the apostle Paul said the divorced woman cannot remarry if she chooses to leave her husband.

I Corinthians 7:10-11   And unto the married I command, yet not I, but the Lord, Let not the wife depart from her husband: But and if she depart, let her remain unmarried or be reconciled to her husband: and let not the husband put away his wife.

An apostle in NT church today will try to bring the church to Bible doctrines on this subject of divorce/remarriage and on all other subjects presented in NT of Bible.

That is all I do as a NT apostle appointed by Jesus and set in the body of Christ to do this work  of apostle.

Mostly, I deal with scripture by the Holy Spirit and church doctrine which I present today to the church on this blog.

The ministry of apostle is not a mysterious thing.

The ministry of prophet is more mysterious, for God shows us things about people that are hidden, and we often go to  the person and bring forth  the sins they are doing while in the congregation.

I have gone to several big-time TV preachers with such statements showing their sins.

In the early 1980's I was shown to give a message concerning adultery to the TV preacher, Jim Bakker.  I did not know that Bakker was committing adultery with a church secretary, Jessica Hann, at the time I was shown to deliver this information to Bakker.

Later the entire world knew.  It is printed today on Wikipedia.

NT prophets are like those who walk on high-wire with no net beneath them.  (Except God is our net.)

We speak things that we have no way of knowing ... except for the Holy Spirit bringing the message to our attention.  By faith, we speak.

We believe it was the Holy Spirit of Jesus who gave us the information and the message and by faith in Jesus and Holy Spirit we deliver that message faithfully, omitting nothing.

(spiritual gifts:  word of wisdom and word of knowledge ... I Corinthians 12)

You have no black and white facts but you know.

I once spoke at a very small church group.  At the end of the service, Pastor called for those who wanted prayer to come forward.  As I walked down the line of people, a very large black woman caught my attention.  I went up to her and said, "And what it is you want?"  She replied, "I's jest wants more of the Lord."  I said, "God will tell me what you are doing."  She became very agitated and waved her hands into the air and screamed, in front of the whole congregation, "OH, NO, LORD ... Don't tell her!"  Everyone in the room roared with laughter.

Often God does tell HIS prophets.

Hymn:  Power in the Blood

(Click forward arrow > to play music:)

1.  Would you be free from your burden of sin?
There’s power in the blood,
power in the blood;
Would you o’er evil a victory win?

There’s wonderful power in the blood.

Chorus:

There is power, power,
wonder-working power,
In the blood ... of the Lamb;

There is power, power,

wonder-working power,
In the precious blood of the Lamb.

2.  Would you be free from your passion and pride?
There’s power in the blood,
power in the blood;
Come for a cleansing to Calvary’s tide,

There’s wonderful power in the blood.

3.  Would you be whiter, much whiter than snow?
There’s power in the blood,
power in the blood;
Sin-stains are lost in its life-giving flow,

There’s wonderful power in the blood.

4.  Would you do service for Jesus your King?
There’s power in the blood,
power in the blood;
Would you live daily His praises to sing?

There’s wonderful power in the blood.

Scripture pertaining to above hymn:

Romans 5:5-9     the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.  For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.

For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die.

But God commendeth HIS love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
Much more then, being now justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him.

(We didn't shed our blood for our sins, but Jesus shed His blood for our sins ... without shedding of blood, there is no remission of sins.  Hebrews 9:22 ... we cannot hope to pay for our sins and our wrong actions by our good works ... only by shed blood are we cleansed)

***

God has power to completely change us instantly ... When God reveals Himself and Jesus and Holy Spirit to us we are born again ... a new creation ... old things are gone, passed away, as HIS Spirit enters into us to make us a "new man".

II Corinthians 5:17-18    Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to Himself by Jesus Christ
(The Word which God speaks to us by HIS Spirit).

The new covenant replaces the old covenant:

Hebrews 10:9-14   Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. HE taketh away the first (covenant), that HE may establish the second.

By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

And every priest (old testament) standeth daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins:

But this man (Jesus), after HE had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God; From henceforth expecting till HIS enemies be made HIS footstool.

For by one offering HE (Jesus) hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.

I John 1:7 ... But if we walk in the light, as HE is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanseth us from all sin.

We enter in by refusing to think on our past sins which have been paid for by Jesus' blood.  And when we are deficient and disappointed in that which we did or failed to do, we must understand that no human is worthy.  The blood of Jesus is worthy.  Through Jesus we are worthy and we come to God thought HIS worthiness and HIS blood which purchased us.

When we think on that we rejoice ... sorrow turns to joy when we focus on the work done by Jesus.

Revelation 5:1-14   And I saw in the right hand of him that sat on the throne a book written within and on the backside, sealed with seven seals.

And I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, Who is worthy to open the book, and to loose the seals thereof?

And no man in heaven, nor in earth, neither under the earth, was able to open the book, neither to look thereon.
  (No man living or dead was worthy.)

And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation;

And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.

And I beheld, and I heard the voice of many angels round about the throne and the beasts and the elders: and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands;

Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing.

And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, be unto HIM that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever.
And the four beasts said, Amen

And the four and twenty elders fell down and worshipped HIM that liveth for ever and ever.

Matthew 11:28-30   Jesus says ... Come unto ME, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.  Take MY yoke upon you, and learn of ME; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For MY yoke is easy, and MY burden is light.

Yoking yourself to Jesus for basic salvation is critical.  But it is also critical to yoke yourself to Jesus when you make plans after you are born again.

For the plans we make could be plans of our own flesh or of other human beings or plans of the devil.  If such, dread will likely be the resulting fruit.

For the yokes of man, and the yokes of the devil, and the yokes of our own flesh are hard, whereas the yoke of God is easy.

Victorious Christians succeed in plans of God because they yoke themselves to plans of God through prayer and through being established by God in the plan.
