Scriptures such as the following are upbuilding for our faith in God and cause us to endure during the end times and give us great joy and confidence in God as we live on this present earth.

At the end of this world, the wrath of God comes upon this earth because of the sins of the world and the apostate churches who discard portions of scriptures from the New Testament Bible.
The Bible says we will have "perilous times" in the last days because of that which is in men.
2 Timothy 3
2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
3 Without natural affection (homosexuals/lesbians: Romans 1:26-28), trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,
4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
(They might attend church but they will not obey scripture.)

So first the antichrist comes into the churches by the spirit of antichirst and the churches all over this world "fall away" from scriptures and set up other doctrines than those doctrines of Christ that appear in the New Testament Bible.
6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. 7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.
15 And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains; 16 And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of HIM that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb: 17 For the great day of HIS wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?

9 And men were scorched with great heat, and blasphemed the name of God, which hath power over these plagues: and they repented not to give HIM glory.

13 But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.
Fierce: killing other people by shootings; violence inside humans;
Incontinent: failure to contain sexual appetite; lack of control over themselves
Lovers of their own selves: little or no concern for that which their own actions do to harm other people
Without natural affections: increase in homosexual and lesbians, abortions, rebellion against parents
Unthankful, unholy

When we see strong weather related events and great earthquakes the born again church should know this destruction is from God and it likely signals the coming of Jesus and the end of this world and the wrath of God through the plagues sent by God.
Matthew 24 (Jesus says)
4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. 5 For many shall come in MY name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.
(They will say: "Jesus is Lord" and by saying that they will deceive many. They fail to do the scriptures of the New Testament Bible and they cast aside the doctrines of Christ in the Bible, and set up doctrines in the churches which are "anti-christ", opposite to the instruction given by Christ.)
This is the first end-time destruction shown by Jesus. It has already happened in churches all over this world.
2 Thessalonians 2
3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day (of the Lord) shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

In 1982, I was reading the above scripture and God explained the following to me: "The falling away is not people leaving the churches. The falling away are the churches leaving the scriptures."
This is the end time apostasy that has to come in churches before Jesus returns.

Man of Lawlessness
1 Now we ask you, brothers and sisters, regarding the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him, 2 that you not be quickly shaken from your composure or be disturbed either by a spirit, or a message, or a letter as if from us, to the effect that the day of the Lord has come. 3 No one is to deceive you in any way! For it will not come unless the apostasy comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction, 4 who opposes and exalts himself above every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, displaying himself as being God.
We are seeing the apostasy now in churches all over the world.

Matthew 24 (Jesus says)

(Coronavirus of 2020 was all over this world and we witnessed the way this pestilence shut down the entire earth for the first year.

There are many examples of earthquakes in the New Testament of God sending earthquakes for judgment, to loose the apostle from prison, to show Jesus as the son of God.
Revelation 11:13 And the same hour was there a great earthquake, and the tenth part of the city fell, and in the earthquake were slain of men seven thousand: and the remnant were affrighted, and gave glory to the God of heaven.
February, 2023 ... A great earthquake came to Turkey & Syria killing more than 41,000. The Bible says an even greater earthquake is coming.

Acts 16:26 (God sends an earthquake to the prison where the apostles were held) And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one's bands were loosed.
Revelation 11:19 And the temple of God was opened in heaven, and there was seen in HIS temple the ark of his testament: and there were lightnings, and voices, and thunderings, and an earthquake, and great hail.
