6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:
7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:
8 And being found in fashion as a man, HE humbled HIMSELF, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.

Often we try to make ourselves to be of reputation among men.
We do such by the clothing we choose to wear. (Paul says for us to dress modestly. I Tim. 2:9)
Some try to exalt themselves by the cars they drive and the homes where they live. Some exalt themselves by colleges they attend and degrees earned.
Several years ago, I saw this instruction given by the apostle Paul and I began to think on various ways I made myself of reputation and I stopped doing this.
It really caused a change in me.
As we attempt to do the instruction given in a section of scripture we are conformed into the image of Christ the Word.
Over and over throughout the time we live on this earth we are recreated by doing scripture. And I find as long as I live, God works with me causing me to refocus by scripture.
