Podcast: In the New Testament Church today, God speaks to us through dreams, visions, angels, and by WORD's brought to our mind by the Holy Spirit

In 1982, I was returning to Dallas by plane from Hobbs, NM, when the Holy Spirit began speaking the following sentence to me over and over:

"The time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God ... The time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God ... The time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God."

(I had no idea what that might mean.)

The following day, God caused me to remember something Jimmy Swaggart had said and God showed me he needed to quit performing so much (entertaining the people) and return to preaching.  I had to get this message to Swaggart.

God also showed me I was to send a message concerning adultery to the preacher Jim Bakker.  I did send that message by cassette tape.

Jim Bakker wrote me the following reply.

Dear Jesus:

Thank you for sending your inspiring message.

Jesus, Tammy Faye and I want you to know we prayed for you today ...

(Obviously Bakker never heard the message.)

Later Bakker was committing adultery with a church secretary.

The message I had for Jimmy Swaggart concerned returning to preaching rather than entertaining the congregation with so much with music.

But Swaggart was having sex with a prostitute at this period of time in addition to other sins.

I happened to visit a small Assembly of God church during that time.  The preacher said, "We should pray for brother Swaggart."

It shocked me!  For I know what Paul says to do in such cases in the Bible.  (I Cor. 5)

Very softly I said, "Swaggart should be put out of the church."  A woman sitting in front of me turned and glared at me.

But this is what the apostle Paul says to do in the New Testament Bible.

I Corinthians 5

1 It is reported commonly that there is fornication among you, and such fornication as is not so much as named among the Gentiles, that one should have his father's wife.

2 And ye are puffed up, and have not rather mourned, that he that hath done this deed might be taken away from among you.

3 For I verily, as absent in body, but present in spirit, have judged already, as though I were present, concerning him that hath so done this deed,

4 In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, when ye are gathered together, and my spirit, with the power of our Lord Jesus Christ,  5 To deliver such an one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.

6 Your glorying is not good. Know ye not that a little leaven leaveneth the whole lump?

7 Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us:

11 But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat.

13 ... Therefore put away from among yourselves that wicked person.

(Do what the Bible says.  Counsel and prayer will not work in such cases for the violator knows adultery and fornications are sins against God.  Do what Paul says.  Put him away from you.  Do not "eat" with him.  Turn him over to Satan for the destruction of his flesh, "that the flesh may be destroyed and the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord.)

I had been delivering some messages of correction to the church as a prophet of God during 1982.

I had also been going to the cities where I was on radio and speaking to the radio audience by seminars.

One night, God gave me a dream.  He showed me I was in great danger of being injured at the meetings and God said this to me in the dream:  "Don't go until you see Exodus 15."

I cancelled all meetings for the remainder of that year.

John 16:2-3  They shall put you out of the synagogues: yea, the time cometh, that whosoever killeth you will think that he doeth God service.

3 And these things will they do unto you, because they have not known the Father, nor ME.

Romans 8:14  For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

πŸ’₯  Acts 9:3-5  And as he (Paul) journeyed, he came near Damascus: and suddenly there shined round about him a light from heaven: 4 And he fell to the earth, and heard a voice saying unto him, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? 5 And he said, Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest: it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks.

πŸ’₯  Acts 3:26  (Peter said in the synagogue:)  Unto you first God, having raised up HIS Son Jesus, sent HIM to bless you, in turning away every one of you from his iniquities.

Acts 4:18 And they (the high priest) called them, and commanded them not to speak at all nor teach in the name of Jesus.

19 But Peter and John answered and said unto them, Whether it be right in the sight of God to hearken unto you more than unto God, judge ye.  20 For we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard.

33 And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all.

πŸ’₯  Acts 5:17-21  Then the high priest rose up, and all they that were with him, (which is the sect of the Sadducees,) and were filled with indignation, 18 And laid their hands on the apostles, and put them in the common prison.

19 But the angel of the Lord by night opened the prison doors, and brought them forth, and said, 20 Go, stand and speak in the temple to the people all the words of this life.

21 And when they heard that, they entered into the temple early in the morning, and taught.

25 Then came one and told them, saying, Behold, the men whom ye put in prison are standing in the temple, and teaching the people.

26 Then went the captain with the officers, and brought them without violence: for they feared the people, lest they should have been stoned. 27 And when they had brought them, they set them before the council: and the high priest asked them, 28Saying, Did not we straitly command you that ye should not teach in this name? and, behold, ye have filled Jerusalem with your doctrine, and intend to bring this man's blood upon us.

29 Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men.  30 The God of our fathers raised up Jesus, whom ye slew and hanged on a tree.  31 Him hath God exalted with his right hand to be a Prince and a Saviour, for to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins.  32 And we are his witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey him.

33 When they heard that, they were cut to the heart, and took counsel to slay them.

38-39 (Gameliel a Pharisee said.)  And now I say unto you, Refrain from these men, and let them alone: for if this counsel or this work be of men, it will come to nought:  39 But if it be of God, ye cannot overthrow it; lest haply ye be found even to fight against God.
