Podcast: Rid yourself of fear when it comes to your mind. Fear is usually not of God.

Fear is usually from our own flesh or from devils.

We hear many fearful things on TV newscasts. Often these predict a future rise in prices.  Fear comes as a result unless we deal with such immediately in prayer, allowing God to settle us.

Devils can also send fearful thoughts to our minds.

Fear is usually not from God.

We learn to take fearful thoughts to God in prayer quickly and to establish truth through that which God gives us.

For example:

* When they began to fight in Ukraine, concern came to me.  But the Holy Spirit reminded me of that which Jesus said:  "There will be wars and rumors of wars.  Let not your heart be troubled!"

So I agreed and replaced my faith in God who works all things according to HIS plan.

I began praying for God to help us.

* When they spoke of The National Debt in USA and what "might" happen as a result:  cuts in social security; reduction in medical benefits;

The Holy Spirit reminded me of this scripture:

I Timothy 6:17 Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy;

If we trust in that which we have now, given by men of governments, we live in danger.

Our trust must be in the living God.

So we pray to God over each fear that comes to mind.

2 Timothy 1:7  For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

Where does fear come from?  Usually from listening to the newscasts and from other humans and by taking in thoughts from devils.

In each case, we must pray to God, putting our trust in God through prayer.

Philippians 4:6-7

6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

2 Corinthians 7:1  Having therefore these promises, (of God), dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.

2 Peter 1:2-4

2 Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord (The Word),

3 According as HIS divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of HIM that hath called us to glory and virtue:

4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

Which promises of God do you trust in?  List some of these promises which cause you to have peace in troubled times.
