πŸ’₯ In Bible, Jesus warns us about false religions that will appear in the last days.


Jesus says:

Matthew 24

21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.

22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.

23 Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not.

24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.

25 Behold, I have told you before.

26 Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, HE is in the desert; go not forth: behold, HE is in the secret chambers; believe it not.

27 For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

I noticed a prime time advertisement on TV in 2023 from a religious organization named  "He gets us."

Their message seemed to be that no matter what you are Jesus understands you.

When it was revealed they had purchased two 30 second TV advertisements to be aired during the Super Bowl on February 12, 2023, this got attention, for those ads are $7-million dollars each!  BIG MONEY.

An article telling about this religious organization appeared Super Bowl morning on CNN.

CNN says: "This is a campaign to promote Jesus and Christianity.  The campaign portrays the pivotal figure of Christianity as an immigrant, a refugee, a radical, an activist for women's rights and a bulwark against racial injustice and political corruption."

They are said to be aiming their marketing at influencing young people and those skeptical of religion and they are trying to present Jesus in an appealing, accepting, non-threatening way, and yet they are anti-LGBT and anti-abortion laws.

It reminds me of the "Bible Church" movement in Texas where they put big money behind politicians who support the Bible to get such elected to public offices whereby they can influence laws of the USA.

This movement is said to be:  "A diverse group of individuals and entities with a common goal of sharing Jesus' story authentically."

The campaign is said to be tied to evangelical churches, but "not affiliated with any particular church or denomination."

They decry the "idolatry of disordered sexuality and focus heavily on the impact of the devil and sin on national cultures."

I've seen several of their prime time advertisements and wondered about this movement.

While they seemed to profess Bible, they didn't state any Bible scriptures.  They seemed to be trying to attract young people to Jesus by a theme of Jesus understand you and accept you.  They did not mention the Holy Spirit convicting the person of sin nor being born again by the Holy Spirit of God.
It seemed to be a message telling youth that Jesus went through everything you go through and Jesus accepts you without a spiritual conversion from God.

I think this is a movement as described by Jesus in Matthew 24 where they say "Jesus" is here and this is the real "Jesus" ... but no mention of sin as is mentioned in the New Testament Bible and is the basis for true conversion to Christ.  It is more like you decide and you will be accepted here.

Jesus says:  

John 3

3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.

8 The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.

I Corinthians 6:9-10  

9 Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate (homosexuals), nor abusers of themselves with mankind,

10 Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.

Revelation 21:7-8

7 He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.

But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

Paul speaks of those who come preaching "another Jesus".

2 Corinthians 11:4  For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him.

Another Jesus, another gospel, would be a Jesus where you are accepted by God no matter what you do.

The doctrine of Christ is the New Testament Bible.  The church of Jesus follows the scriptures of the New Testament Bible where Jesus said to the woman taken in adultery, "Go ... and sin no more.(Jn. 8:11)

There are rules, commandments of God, set forth for the New Testament church in the New Testament Bible.
