* The blood of Jesus frees us from sin, but not "to" sin.

Joan Boney ... apostle and prophet by the will of God appointed by Jesus for the New Testament church according to Ephesians 4:11-12.

(The apostles, appointed by Jesus, deal with church doctrine.  Notice how this writings is strongly centered in doctrines of Christ as set forth by the Bible.)

*****

After God reveals the Word of Truth to us by the Holy Spirit of God, we are born again, a new creation.

II Corinthians 5:17   Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

All my previous sins are paid for by the blood of Jesus.

Hebrews 9:22    And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.

In the Old Testament, blood of animals was sacrificed for the sins of the people.

In the New Testament, the New Covenant, our sins are paid for by the blood of Jesus, the sacrifice of Jesus.

So we are no longer under the law of Moses where animals were sacrificed for our sins.

But we are under the law of God, the rules of God, as set forth for the church in the New Testament Bible.

***

Jesus paid for our sins with HIS own blood.

After we have been enlightened by God and born again, are we then free to sin again and again as we did before we were born again ...  Or if we sin after we are born again, do we crucify Jesus afresh for our sins?

What does the Bible tell us?

***

Hebrews 10

26  For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,

27 But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.

28 He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses:

29 Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?

30 For we know Him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto ME, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge His people.

31 It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

***

Hebrews 6

4  For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost,

5 And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come,

6 If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put Him to an open shame.

Jesus said to the woman taken in adultery:

  "Go, and sin no more."

She could not continue in adultery after she was forgiven.  (John 8)

The apostle Peter said:

II Peter 2

20 For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning.

21 For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them.

22 But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire.

Concerning a "brother" who sins in the church, the apostle Paul said:

I Corinthians 5

It is reported commonly that there is fornication among you, and such fornication as is not so much as named among the Gentiles, that one should have his father's wife.

2 And ye are puffed up, and have not rather mourned, that he that hath done this deed might be taken away from among you.

3 For I verily, as absent in body, but present in spirit, have judged already, as though I were present, concerning him that hath so done this deed,

4 In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, when ye are gathered together, and my spirit, with the power of our Lord Jesus Christ,

5 To deliver such an one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.

11 But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat.

13 ... Therefore put away from among yourselves that wicked person.

***

To turn such a "brother" over to Satan for destruction of his flesh is the hope for the salvation of his spirit in the day of the Lord ... for such a sinner as this, who was once enlightened to his sin and cleansed of his sin by the shed blood of Jesus, would have to crucify Jesus afresh for such sins after he was born again.

What Paul instructs in I Corinthians 5, to put that "brother" away from the church and turn him over to Satan for the destruction of his flesh, is a way for his spirit to be saved in the day of the Lord, by that which Paul tells us.

***

To return to our previous sins after having been born again and enlightened by God, is an extremely serious matter.

Multiple times we have encountered women who say they are Christians who have openly rejected scripture and even have said, "I don't care what the Bible says."  (especially concerning remarriage after divorce)

The apostle Paul says the following is "a commandment of the Lord" concerning woman who leaves her husband:

I Corinthians 7:10-11   And unto the married I command, yet not I, but the Lord, Let not the wife depart from her husband:  But and if she depart, let her remain unmarried, or be reconciled to her husband: and let not the husband put away his wife.

Romans 7:1-3   Know ye not, brethren, (for I speak to them that know the law,) how that the law hath dominion over a man as long as he liveth?  For the woman which hath an husband is bound by the law to [her] husband so long as he liveth; but if the husband be dead, she is loosed from the law of [her] husband.  So then if, while [her] husband liveth, she be married to another man, she shall be called an adulteress: but if her husband be dead, she is free from that law; so that she is no adulteress, though she be married to another man.

(Churches foolishly declare we are not under the law ... We are not under "the law of Moses" but we are under the law of God as set forth for the New Testament church in the New Testament Bible.)

Mark 10  Jesus says:

6 But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female.

7For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and cleave to his wife;

8And they twain shall be one flesh: so then they are no more twain, but one flesh.

9What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.

11 And HE (Jesus) saith unto them, Whosoever shall put away his wife, and marry another, committeth adultery against her.

12  And if a woman shall put away her husband, and be married to another, she committeth adultery.

Matthew 5:31-32   Jesus says:   It hath been said, Whosoever shall put away his wife, let him give her a writing of divorcement:   But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.

- The man who divorces a "faithful" wife will be the cause of her adultery when she remarries.
- The "faithful" wife will commit adultery after divorce if she remarries.
- The man who marries a divorced woman commits adultery.

There are so many doctrines of Christ being explained away in New Testament churches today.  But at the judgment seat of Christ we will be judged by the doctrines of Christ as they are set forth for us in the New Testament Bible.

II Corinthians 5

10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.
11 Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men;

Safety is agreeing with doctrines set forth in New Testament Bible and living by those doctrines.  The doctrines of many churches today differ from the Bible.  We will be judged by the Bible.

Antichrist is in churches today setting up doctrines according to his own will and discarding doctrines of Christ from Bible.

At the judgment seat of Christ, we are going to be judged by the doctrines of Christ as set forth for us in the New Testament Bible.
