* Where in Bible does it tell us we have to vote for governments of men?

Joan Boney ... apostle and prophet of Jesus Christ according to Ephesians 4:1l-12.

The world does many things and the people of this world try to get us to join them.

The apostle Paul says:

Romans 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Paul does tell us to pray for those in authority.

I Timothy 2:1-3 I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;  For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.  For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;

The problem with taking sides is it often causes you to hate the opposition and usually in a non- rational way.  And that which is spoken by men against other men might not even be true.

We, who are of God, are told to live in peace, without spot, and blameless.  (II Peter 3:14)

The television newscasts often stir us up to take sides in elections and to hate one party or the other.  This is unwise for godly men and women.

This earth is temporary.  Eternity is for ever.

As godly people who belong to God we serve God.  We are told to live in peace wherever we are through prayer.

When something stirs us up in an ungodly direction we need to take action to keep ourselves, withdrawing and praying.

It is unwise to allow ourselves to hate others.
