* The Catholic church (and others) trust in gods that cannot save.

One of the "gods" set up by the Catholic church is someone called "Saint Christopher."  

I have a Catholic acquaintance who has a "Saint Christopher" medallion hanging on the sun visor of the passenger side of her car.  As I understand it the Catholics are taught this man is appointed  a "saint" by the Catholic church and he is to protect the traveler.  This man is therefore worshipped as a "god" of protection by the Catholics and they often pray to this dead man.

The Catholics also pray to Mary, a dead woman.  And they talk to Mary, a dead woman.

Dead people are sleeping.  They can't hear us.  And certainly dead people have no power to help us.

Jesus tells us this in John 11:

11 ... Jesus said:  Our friend Lazarus sleepeth; but I go, that I may awake him out of sleep.

12 Then said his disciples, Lord, if he sleep, he shall do well.

13 Howbeit Jesus spake of his death: but they thought that he had spoken of taking of rest in sleep.

14 Then said Jesus unto them plainly, Lazarus is dead.


Dead people do not watch over the living.  Death is as being asleep.  That person who is sleeping does not watch over that person who is awake.  Neither can that dead person hear you when you speak to him for he is asleep, dead.


Isaiah 45

20 Assemble yourselves and come; draw near together, ye that are escaped of the nations: they have no knowledge that set up the wood of their graven image, and pray unto a god that cannot save.


This is as these church people who have no real knowledge of God and set up graven images to pray to and set up dead people to watch over those who are living and think the dead person can protect the one who is living.  This is religious foolishness and they trust in a god that is not God.

21 ... there is no God else beside ME; a just God and a Saviour; there is none beside ME.

22 Look unto ME, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else.

Protestant churches also sin greatly, setting up things not in the Bible and taking away various scripture to draw more people to their church groups.

Many call their ministers, "Reverend", glorifying their minister, setting him as a god before the church.

There is only one "Reverend" and that is God.

There is only one time the word "Reverend" is used in the Bible and that pertains to the name of God HIMSELF.

Psalm 119:9 

He (God) sent redemption unto His people: HE hath commanded His covenant for ever: holy and reverend is HIS name.

Jesus called HIS ministers:  apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers.

Ephesians 4

8 ... When HE (Jesus) ascended up on high, HE led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men.

11-12 And HE (Jesus) gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;  For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:


The Church of Christ denomination removed the name "pastor" and even taught men should not be called "pastor". They called their pastors "ministers". But Jesus called them "PASTORS".

So one evil church group adds to the Bible and another evil church group takes away from the Bible.  Both damn themselves and their followers.

Most men who present themselves as "ministers" today wear some form of robe or collar which identifies themselves to the people.

(In the New Testament Bible ministers did not wear garments of identification.  The Spirit of God in them identified them to other persons who had the Spirit of God. And when we speak by the Spirit others recognize us by the Spirit. )

Jesus said:

Matthew 23:5  But all their works they do for to be seen of men: they make broad their phylacteries, and enlarge the borders of their garments,

Luke 10:46   Beware of the scribes, which desire to walk in long robes, and love greetings in the markets, and the highest seats in the synagogues, and the chief rooms at feast.

Most churches today set up crackers and grape juice and call this The Lord's Supper or Communion.

The Lord's supper is the Word of God given to the people by the Holy Spirit.

John 6

Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Moses gave you not that bread from heaven; but my Father giveth you the true bread from heaven.


33 For the bread of God is HE (The Word) which cometh down from heaven, and giveth life unto the world.


God communes with the church today by the Holy Spirit of Jesus who dwells in each believer in the church and God speaks as HE wills to that believer by HIS Spirit.

Therefore God delivers "The Lord's Supper" through that believer at the gathering of the church.

At our Bible class, our teacher would always say, "Does anyone have a word from the Lord?"  Individuals in the class were then free to present that which God had shown them so all in the class could be edified.

This is the Lord's supper.


God set the gathering of the church up so the Holy Spirit would be free to speak through whom God willed.

Paul describes it in the following:

I Corinthians 14:26 How is it then, brethren? when ye come together, every one of you hath a psalm, hath a doctrine, hath a tongue, hath a revelation, hath an interpretation. Let all things be done unto edifying.

Man changed this so only those approved by themselves could speak to the gathering of the church.

I've often thought:  "If Jesus HIMSELF came to the church service today, HE would not be permitted to speak to the congregation."

I've never seen a main church service set up according to the instruction of the Bible as given in I Corinthians 14.

You might find a Sunday school class set up a little closer to Bible instruction where individuals were free to share with the class by the Holy Spirit as Paul instructed.

Or you might find a home church more like the instructions in the Bible.

But the main service is structured more as a performance where things are preplanned and freedom to speak is removed for those who gather in the group.  Only appointed people are free to speak things of God.  This is contrary to the instruction given for the church by God in I Corinthians 14.  And often grape juice and crackers are passed around thinking this to be the Lord's supper when it has no power of God at all to do this.  It is a vague fanatsy of man and has no religious substance for Jesus, The Word, is the true supper of the Lord for the church.

We, who are born of God, must choose to go by scriptures from the New Testament Bible and avoid perverse religious teachings and things added to the church by men.  For these are "idols"  and to go along with these is to practice idolatry.  

Paul says,

I Corinthians 6

Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate (homosexuals), nor abusers of themselves with mankind,

10  Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. 


Galatians 5

19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,

20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,

21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
