Joshua 1:8
This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.

I keep various scriptures before me day and night to help me in times of temptation or when I need more strength to go forward in certain things of this life.
And God adds scripture as needed to the scriptures I consider.
It works well for me to make screen prints of pages of the Bible and print these pages onto my Kindle photos, thereby looking at them each morning, one by one, and looking again in the evening to examine myself and see if I have lived in those scriptures during that day.

Here are recently added scriptures:
God has been teaching me to depart from church people who will not do specific scriptures. especially when I have shared scripture with them on various subjects.
Titus 3
9 But avoid foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable and vain.
10 A man that is an heretick after the first and second admonition reject;
11 Knowing that he that is such is subverted, and sinneth, being condemned of himself.
Recently one of these women sent me an email after an absence of 1 1/2 years. I knew she was wanting to reestablish contact. (She lives in another state but we had previously stayed in touch by phone and e-mail.)

Recently one of these women sent me an email after an absence of 1 1/2 years. I knew she was wanting to reestablish contact. (She lives in another state but we had previously stayed in touch by phone and e-mail.)
In this case, her email contained animal pictures. I did not open the email. I did not allow myself to be enticed into a friendship whereby I would be hearing her stories.
A fear came: "What if she calls me? What would I say to her by phone? Should I answer the phone if she does call? How could I get out of talking with her?"
I began talking to God about my "fear".
I began talking to God about my "fear".
A few days later, these same fears came again into my mind.
This time, God brought a scripture to me.
I made a screen print of this page of Bible and put it into my Kindle photos where I could strengthen myself in this truth.
And then another scripture came to my mind so I added that also to my photos.

I was thinking of different ways we have to "deny ourselves" as we follow God.
* We have to leave and avoid certain family and church people when they will not do scriptures.
* We have to keep ourselves free from debts so we can move as needed when God shows us to depart.
* We hold to scripture even when we know we will suffer loss at job promotions or loss of friendships.
As I thought on these things, God reminded me of the following scriptures which I added to my meditation list of scripture so I could strengthen myself daily.
Matthew 16:24-27

We purchased a new car which had very loud problem with blower fan noise when we were using heating or cooling. We set the fan as low as it would go, but still the constant sound was very loud. It was like it was set on high when we ran it on low.
We took the car back to the dealer but dealer said that sound was "normal."
But we had driven 4 other brands of cars and the air conditioning did not make that loud sound when set on low.
When things like this happen, you feel trapped and somewhat helpless.
But we are of God and we prayed asking God to show us what to do and to help us.
James 1:5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.
James 1:5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.
After prayer, I was reminded of the following scripture:
I Corinthian 10:13
I added this scripture to my meditation scriptures in my Kindle screen prints on my photos.
I had immediate faith when that scripture came to my mind and I rejoiced in this truth. But I wanted to deepen this scripture inside of me, and I know we can do that by meditating in this scripture day and night when it is given to us by the Holy Spirit, as it was in this case.
The day after hearing this from God, I awoke one morning knowing to go online and see if others were having this problem with loud constant sounds from the air conditioners in their cars.
Several specialists in car air conditioning on internet gave demonstrations of problems and while I could not understand most of what they said, seeing these examples caused me to attack the problem by going to settings on the car Climate Control. (I also showed these illustrations from Internet to Pam Padgett) As we pushed various buttons on Climate Control, the loud noise stopped. And we never heard it again while using the air conditioner.
(We had taken the car back to the dealer but he said it was normal sound for a car air-conditioner and he didn't try to do anything. But we have driven several other makes of cars and didn't hear that sound. We thought something was wrong and something was wrong. Fortunately it was just a setting.)

I feel it was God who caused me to be motivated to take this action and to punch buttons on the settings.
I continued to keep this scripture from I Corinthians 10:13 in my pages of screen prints to look at this scripture daily. for a season.
THE WORD came in the flesh to this earth in the form of a man named Jesus. But THE WORD was with God from the beginning.

John 1:1-4 & John 6:33-58
Jesus, THE WORD, came down from heaven, THAT WORD is brought to our minds by God though the Holy Spirit of Jesus who dwells in us.
* Jesus said: I (The Word) am the bread of life.
* He that cometh to ME (The Word) shall never hunger.
* He that believeth on ME (The Word) shall never thirst.
* I (The Word) am that bread of life.
* I (The Word) am that living bread which came down from heaven.
* If any man eat of this bread (The Word) he shall live for ever.
* Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of Man (The Word), and drink His (The Word's) blood, ye have no life in you.
* Whoso eateth MY (The Word's) flesh, and drinketh MY (The Word's) blood hath eternal life; and I (The Word) will raise him up at the last day.
* For MY (The Word's) flesh is meat indeed, and MY (The Word's) blood is drink indeed.
* As the living Father hath sent ME (The Word). and I live by the Father, so he that eateth ME (The Word) shall live by ME (The Word).

Some pages of scripture I will stay in for weeks or months. From time to time I delete a page when I feel I have absorbed the doctrine as much as possible. Then I add new pages of scripture as God gets my attention on other subjects where I feel I need strengthened.
I usually begin my day by going over these scriptures.
When I go to bed at night, I usually look at these scriptures again, especially to see if I have done these instructions during that day.
Looking again at what this accomplishes in our lives according to Joshua 1:8 and Psalm 1:
1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
Joshua 1:8 This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.
This instruction shows me that meditation on scripture causes me to be able " to do the scriptures upon which I meditate day and night."
Psalm 1
(Beware of associating with the ungodly, sinners, and scornful)
2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD (The Word of God); and in His law (His Word) doth he meditate day and night.
3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.
4 The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away.
5 Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.
6 For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.

6 For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.

Something happened this week which was very startling to Pam Padgett and I, but it ended up showing us we are living in the correct way of God. I think you will find this important.
Pam has a neighbor whom we often invited to come to Pam's house and watch a movie on Pam's home theater system. Her 86 year old mother lived with this neighbor at that time and the mother really loved these outings. The mother was very jolly. She died about a year ago. Now her father lives with this neighbor. I have not seen the neighbor since I sent a writing to her shortly after her mother died.
They are Catholic. I sent a writing concerning worshipping in churches where they have set up idols. I sent this to her by US Mail. Certainly specific points of idol worship in the Catholic church were named in the writing. I never heard from her after I sent that writing.
Yesterday, I was setting the sound system in the new car. I asked Pam if we could drive around the neighborhood to allow me to hear the settings with the car motor running.
We were driving past this Catholic woman's house and we saw her at her mailbox. Pam stopped the car and we began talking with her. I told her we were testing the sound equipment and asked if she would like to ride with us. She said she would and we drove about the neighborhood.
After we rode about for a few minutes, we took her back to her house. She was getting out of the car. Pam asked her if her dad was still living with her. She said he was. Then she said, "When football season begins, maybe we could come down and watch football with you." I responded by saying, "If they don't get killed first with this virus."
Pam and I did not discuss it at all after leaving this woman's house. But individually we were both concerned about having this Catholic woman and her dad come to our house.
II John
9 Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.
10 If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed:
11 For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.
Unknown to either of us, Pam and I were both asking God what we should do about this neighbor who had rejected the doctrine of Christ, although she did not tell us she rejected it, we knew by her silence and absence of communication that she did not accept the doctrine.
I continued to pray about this. (and so did Pam although I didn't know until later today she was praying about this.)
Around noontime today, God showed me what to do about the proposed TV watching.
The Holy Spirit reminded me that we no longer have a theater room in the fireplace area because we sold the sound processor in that room.
(We are planning to replace the sound processor in that room but are waiting to see if there is going to be a new version of the processor before we make a purchase.)
Pam and I watch TV in my bedroom. It only has seating for two people in that area.
I laughed when I realized "God's way to escape." It was so simple.
When I shared it with Pam, we both laughed.
Neither of us had remembered we no longer have a sound processor for the fireplace area. We no longer have an area where several people can watch TV.
Neither of us had remembered we no longer have a sound processor for the fireplace area. We no longer have an area where several people can watch TV.
But I also found it very encouraging concerning that which Pam and I did. We were both shocked and concerned and both of us began praying immediately to see what we were to do.
This shows each of us are following the correct path. We didn't discuss by our flesh what we could do. We each sought God concerning that which we should do. And neither of us realized the other was seeking God concerning the issue! But we were both seeking God.
I believe this is the correct way to deal with such things.
I had a dream about a month or so ago concerning "dirty" cats getting into my house.
This dream: July 9, 2020
Vicious, dirty cats kept getting in my house. I had a wooden cane and "guided" them out, and I would turn around and there they were back in my house.
Two women kept leaving the door open ... this is how they were getting back in, through the open door.
Don't open doors!
After I awoke, I realized I was one of the women who opened the door to my house. We do this through email, sending Birthday Cards, phone calls to visit. Also we can do this by going in the path of that other person where we are likely to run into each other and "visit". When the flesh meets other flesh it is very difficult not to bring forth evil or set up evil plans unless both of the people also have the Spirit of God and follow God.
It is interesting that we truly care, love, that other person. We just can't afford to make plans to be around that other person unless we are certain God has told us to do such. We will not be able to help them. They will drag us down with them. We think we can help them. But if we have tried to share truth of God with that person and that person rejects the truth, we must avoid that person. Let them return to us if they come to the knowledge of the truth but don't try to get them back. (This is what God keeps showing me and I think it applies to all who love the Word of God and try to follow God.)
But we must seek God to know God's way to avoid the person. We cannot go by our own fleshly plan for our flesh will destroy us, if we allow it to do so, and our flesh will take us in the opposite way that God would have us go.
*****
Please do not think we have "arrived". None of us arrive. It is a continual battle between our own flesh, which is always bad, always trying to do the works of the flesh, ... and the Holy Spirit of Jesus who lives in us and always shows us the way of God which is opposite from the flesh. And we have to choose between the ideas that come from our flesh and those ideas that come to us by the Holy Spirit of Jesus who lives in us.
Paul said he was convinced there was no good thing in his own flesh. (Romans 7)
The flesh wants to do the works of the flesh.
Galatians 5:19-21
20 Idolatry, witchcraft (doing superstitions), hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,
21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

Jesus warns us concerning the end times before HE returns:
I often pray for God to help me to endure and not let me be swept away by ideas of my own flesh or by ideas of this world. I often ask God to make a way of escape for me that I can be able to bear what I see and hear. And always God makes a way to escape. It is up to me to go that way instead of going my own way.
