Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet
We must diligently use that spiritual gift God has given us.
I know I have a spiritual gift of "exhortation". I work to diligently share with the church everything I believe God has shown me. And as I sit down and start writing, often even as I am writing, God will give me more to share and I include "that" also with the writing.
It is all done by faith that it was God who showed me that.
Here is a scripture which fits this subject.
Mark 4:24-25 And HE said unto them, Take heed what ye hear: with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you: and unto you that hear shall more be given. For he that hath, to him shall be given:
(But if we hold back and fail to use that spiritual gift appropriately, I think it will be taken away.)
... and he that hath not, from him shall be taken even that which he hath.

So let us be certain to use our spiritual gifts by faith in God when we have opportunity.
Example: If you have a spiritual gift of "giving", and you have opportunity to give, do so. You might be able to give a word of encouragement to someone ... don't hold back! Or someone might have a need for something you can provide.
If you have a spiritual gift of "helps", exercise that gift as opportunity surfaces.
With the spiritual gift of "exhortation", which I have, you see me continually exhorting the church. I try to share everything I believe God has shown me. It is my job to do this.
We do that spiritual gift with all our "might" as David danced before the Lord with all his might!
People might make fun of us as David's wife made fun of him, but David served God with all that he had in him regardless.
14 And David danced before the Lord with all his might; and David was girded with a linen ephod.
So David and all the house of Israel brought up the ark of the Lord with shouting, and with the sound of the trumpet.
And they brought in the ark of the Lord, and set it in his place, in the midst of the tabernacle that David had pitched for it: and David offered burnt offerings and peace offerings before the Lord.
And as soon as David had made an end of offering burnt offerings and peace offerings, he blessed the people in the name of the Lord of hosts. And he dealt among all the people, even among the whole multitude of Israel, as well to the women as men, to every one a cake of bread, and a good piece of flesh, and a flagon of wine. So all the people departed every one to his house.
Then David returned to bless his household.
And Michal the daughter of Saul came out to meet David, and said, How glorious was the king of Israel to day, who uncovered himself to day in the eyes of the handmaids of his servants, as one of the vain fellows shamelessly uncovereth himself!
And David said unto Michal, It was before the Lord, which chose me before thy father, and before all his house, to appoint me ruler over the people of the Lord, over Israel: therefore will I play before the Lord.
And I will yet be more vile than thus, and will be base in mine own sight: and of the maidservants which thou hast spoken of, of them shall I be had in honour.
Therefore Michal the daughter of Saul had no child unto the day of her death.
(But David did not let his wife or anyone else stop him from serving God with all his heart.)
