* The way of God

Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet

Amos 5:15    Hate the evil, and love the good, and establish judgment in the gate: it may be that the Lord God of hosts will be gracious unto the remnant of Joseph.

*****

Are you aware that we live in a time of great evil?

Many are drawn to evil as a moth to the flame, understanding not that the evil is to his or her destruction and not to their good.

They love "spicy" things ... and show themselves to be what they are by their appearance, though they try to hide themselves.

Inwardly they delight in the evil.

I see people calling themselves "Christians" who do this.

A few years ago, it was the fashion to wear a blouse (or dress) where it appeared your slip, or undergarment, was showing above the dress.  It was very suggestive.

A woman came among us wearing this type of garment, and I rebuked her.

A godly woman would not appear in a garment which was suggestive.

I Timothy 2:9-10    In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array;  But (which becometh women professing godliness) with good works.

A woman who delights in sin will display sin one way or another.

And often these women hide in the churches, though the truly godly will see.

Why would you want to expose "lewdness" to others?

***

An ungodly woman is particularly repulsive.

Proverbs 31:10   Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies.

The inner goodness in a woman comes forward as great beauty among others who are godly.

But the ungodly woman displays vileness among us in her blatant exposure of both her flesh and her spirit.

This is a terrible thing to see.

Certainly both men and women display evil, but to me women are even more repulsive than men when they are evil.

I believe the apostle Paul speaks of these times and I believe Paul is speaking of those in the churches when he said the following:

II Timothy 3:1-7   This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.

For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;

Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,

Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

***

Women who yearn to expose themselves to men are particularly evil.

I don't believe a godly woman would do this.

But today, on display, are terribly ungodly women who deliberately flaunt their flesh and even delight in finding a way to do this to lure lustful men to themselves.

They have sex outside of marriage knowing this has power to trap a man but they fall into their own traps which they carefully set.

Though they often succeed, then when they get that evil man, they might not like what they have drawn deliberately to themselves.

And certainly no godly woman will be friends with these women in the church.

You cannot hide from God.

***

A godly woman would be that woman who, even as a young woman, has a modesty inside her and dresses herself in that modesty, depending on God to take her to the right man instead of trying to lure a man to herself by exposure of her flesh.

(And God will not fail her when she trusts in HIM when it is HIS will for her to marry as it is with most women.)

After she marries, she delights in caring for her own children and for her own husband.

She loves strangers and seeks good and not evil for them as she does her own household.  Yet while being good, she would still alert her household to evil as a watchful servant of God.

Proverbs 31:11-12   The heart of her husband doth safely trust in her, so that he shall have no need of spoil.  She will do him good and not evil all the days of her life.

And this godly woman will do others good and not evil and cares about all.

Yet she is wise.  (She can see evil and warns others.)

***

But many love the evil and even seek out the evil, finding an excitement in the evil.

They will be recognized for what they are, though they hope to hide in the churches and appear good.

They forget God sees them, sees what they do in private, seeing what is really in them.

But the truly godly have no fear for they desire the good and even seek the good and recognize the good.
