* Knowing those who are appointed by God.

Joan Boney ... apostle/prophet

In the Old Testament, God identified HIS chosen by visual signs and wonders.

Often the congregation rose up against Moses and Aaron.   Each time God reaffirmed HIS servants whom HE had chosen for the work.

We, who are called by God for the work in the NT church, are also confirmed to the people of God.  This is done by God by HIS gifts of the Holy Spirit given to us.

When we read the writings or see the gifts of the Holy Spirit operating through that person we recognize it is God behind that person.

In the world, humans identify themselves to others by such things as college degrees or human accomplishments.

When I wrote the books on Amazon, we skipped the author's page, which tells people such things as achievements of the person who wrote the book.

If you are truly of God, you will recognize the book as being from God by the Spirit when you read some of the book.

The congregations of the worldly are caught up by the flesh of man.

But if you have the Spirit of God in you and you read what I write, you will rejoice in the Spirit and recognize this work is of God.

Ephesians 4:8    When HE ascended up on high, HE led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men.

Those of us who are of God have the Spirit of God dwelling in us and by HIS Spirit that is in us we know one another.

Proverbs 18:16   A man's gift maketh room for him, and bringeth him before great men.

II Corinthians 3:1-6    Do we begin again to commend ourselves? or need we, as some others, epistles of commendation to you, or letters of commendation from you?

Ye are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read of all men:

Forasmuch as ye are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart.

And such trust have we through Christ to God-ward:

Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God;  Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.

I Corinthians 2:1-4   And I, brethren, when I came to you, came not with excellency of speech or of wisdom, declaring unto you the testimony of God. For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and Him crucified. And I was with you in weakness, and in fear, and in much trembling. And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power: That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.

John 3:27   A man can receive nothing, except it be given him from heaven.

When we speak that which God gives us, others who are of the Spirit of God will recognize us.

So the message identifies us.

Here is a dream God gave me many years ago.

In this dream, a war was going on.  Everyone on both sides wore the same uniform.  So to identify us to others in our "army" we were given a password.  When we spoke that word, people in our "army" recognized us.

Today we all look alike at first encounter.  We come saying, "Jesus is Lord".  Many come quoting scripture while professing to be a Christian.

But no one can fake the real Spirit though many try to do so.

In time, we will see something is a little off when they speak and when they act.

Though they try to copy the real Spirit, they show themselves to be only imitations, thus "mockers".

Jude v. 4   For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.

vv. 11- 13      Woe unto them! for they have gone in the way of Cain, and ran greedily after the error of Balaam for reward, and perished in the gainsaying of Core.

These are spots in your feasts of charity, when they feast with you, feeding themselves without fear: clouds they are without water, carried about of winds; trees whose fruit withereth, without fruit, twice dead, plucked up by the roots;

Raging waves of the sea, foaming out their own shame; wandering stars, to whom is reserved the blackness of darkness for ever.

vv. 16-19    These are murmurers, complainers, walking after their own lusts; and their mouth speaketh great swelling words, having men's persons in admiration because of advantage.

But, beloved, remember ye the words which were spoken before of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ; How that they told you there should be mockers in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts.  These be they who separate themselves, sensual, having not the Spirit.

Matthew 24:3-5   And as HE sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto HIM privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?

And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.

(Many will come saying,  "Jesus is Lord." and because they say that, they will deceive many.)

When we speak that given to us by God, others who are of God recognize it.

The "WORD" given by the Spirit identifies us.
